Quality Engineer / Senior Quality Engineer
The opportunity:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and improving quality assurance sys-tems, process controls, and product quality standards. The role works closely with production, engineering, suppliers, and customers to drive preventive actions, reduce quality issues, improve process capability, and ensure compliance with applicable quality management systems and customer requirements.
How you’ll make an impact:
Quality Assurance & Process Improvement
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans, inspection standards, and quality procedures.
- Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with product and process requirements.
- Analyze process performance and quality data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead quality improvement aimed at reducing defects, scrap, rework, and customer complaints.
- Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Problem Solving & Corrective Actions
- Lead investigations of internal quality issues, supplier defects, and customer complaints.
- Conduct root cause analysis using quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and Pareto Analysis.
- Develop, implement, and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure timely closure of quality issues.
- Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving activities.
Process Validation & Product Quality
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and process qualification activities.
- Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow Diagram, and risk assessment development.
- Verify process capability and product conformity through statistical analysis and validation activities.
- Support first article inspections (FAI), process audits, and capability studies.
- Ensure product and process changes follow change management requirements.
Customer & Supplier Quality Management
- Act as a quality interface between customers and internal departments.
- Support customer audits, customer complaint investigations, and quality reviews.
- Monitor supplier quality performance and participate in supplier development activities.
- Review supplier corrective action reports and verify effectiveness.
- Ensure customer-specific quality requirements are properly implemented.
Quality System & Compliance
- Maintain compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO45001, or applicable industry standards.
- Participate in internal, external, and customer audits.
- Support management of nonconformance reports (NCR), deviations, and concession requests.
- Ensure quality records and documentation are maintained accurately and effectively.
- Support management review and quality performance reporting activities.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect and analyze quality metrics including PPM, defect rates, yield, scrap, and customer com-plaints.
- Generate regular quality performance reports and dashboards.
- Utilize statistical tools and methodologies for process monitoring and improvement.
- Recommend actions based on trend analysis and quality performance indicators.
Training & Team Support
- Provide quality-related training and guidance to production and support teams.
- Promote quality awareness and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support operators and inspectors in understanding quality requirements and standards.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and improvement teams.
HSE Responsibilities
- Comply with the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, regulations, and stand-ards.
- Identify and promptly report hazards, abnormal conditions, and near-miss incidents.
- Participate in HSE training programs and improvement activities.
- Correctly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work procedures.
- Support the organization's safety culture and environmental sustainability initiatives.Your background
Your background:
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, or a related role.
- Experience in manufacturing environments.
- Experience with customer complaint management and corrective action processes.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, etc.).
- Understanding of quality tools including: 8D, 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP
- Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and technical standards.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and process capability studies.
