In this exciting role, you will help drive the development of next-generation dry-type and liquid-filled distribution and traction transformers through cutting-edge circuit-level, electromagnetic, and multi-physics simulations. Working alongsideadiversenetworkofR&D,engineering,testing,andproductdevelopmentprofessionals,youwillplayakeyroleinacceleratinginnovationandenablingsmarter,moreefficientproductdevelopment.

This position offers the opportunity to influence product performance from the earliest design stages by leveraging simulation-driven methodologies to predict outcomes, reduce development risks, and support a shift-left approach to engineering. • Performcircuit-level,electromagnetic,andmulti-physicssimulationsfordry-typeandliquid-filleddistributionandtractiontransformers.

• Analyzetransformerperformance,includinglosses,impedance,leakagefields,transientbehavior,inductances,andshort-circuitforces.

• Supportsimulation-drivenproductdevelopmentstrategiesthatenableearlydesignvalidationandpredictionoffactorytestresults.

• Developandmaintainautomatedsimulationworkflowsandengineeringtoolstoimproveefficiencyandaccuracy.

• Advanceinnovativemulti-physicsmethodologiesbyintegratingelectrical,structural,thermomechanical,andacousticsimulations.

• Contributetofeasibilitystudies,technologyassessments,andthedevelopmentofnewproductsandtechnicalconcepts.

• Supportprototypevalidationandtestingactivitiestoverifysimulationmodelsandenhanceproductperformance.

• Sharetechnicalexpertisethroughdesignguidelines,internaltraining,andclosecollaborationwithengineeringanddesignteams.

YourBackground

• M.Sc.orPh.D.inElectricalEngineering.

• Professionalexperienceinelectricalengineering;experiencerelatedtotransformerdesignishighlyvalued.

• Strongknowledgeofcircuittheory,electromagnetics,andtransformerphysics.

• Experiencewithelectromagneticfiniteelementanalysis(FEA)toolssuchasANSYSMaxwell,COMSOLMultiphysics,AltairFlux,FEMM,orsimilarplatforms.

• KnowledgeofsimulationandprogrammingtoolssuchasLTspice,PSpice,PowerFactory,ETAP,Python,MATLAB,orC#.

• Stronganalytical,communication,andcollaborationskills,withtheabilitytoworkeffectivelyinaglobalenvironmentandwillingnesstotravelasneeded.
