The team manager is expected to define and implement both long term and short-term strategies, for the team, as per the overall organization strategy.\nHow you’ll make an impact\nContribute to R&D projects from the initial concept stage to final product rollout.\n\nYou will be responsible for the overall electrical system including selection of appropriate ratings (power, voltage, current) of the equipment, selection of on-board battery energy and voltage levels or agreeing these with other partners, e.g., bus OEMs.\n\nDesigning the overall charging system based on an understanding of the dependence on the above.\n\nDevelop and assess protection concepts for low voltage - low power charger (100kW 600V DC).\n\nDevelop and assess protection concepts for high power chargers (1500kW 1500V DC).\n\nDevelop system simulations for grid code compliance (THDi, THDu, power factor, DC ripple etc.).\n\nSystem design, SLD & MLD (single- and multi-lines diagrams), BOM (bill of materials).\n\nWrite tutorial, guidelines, test procedures, report templates for engineering and commissioning engineers.\n\nWrite technical specifications for internal and external suppliers.\n\nBenchmark and cost evaluation.\n\nAudit, assessment of external partners, including power electronic converter part.\n\nLab testing (heat-run, EMC, noise, electrical endurance), official type tests certification, factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, commissioning, end-user training at a domestic and international level.\n\nSupport customer project tendering and execution activities.\n\nYou will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.\n\nLiving Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.\n\nYour background\nDegree (University/University of Applied Sciences) in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Power Electronics and Control.\n\nIndustrial experience with low voltage power converters is an advantage\n\nProficiency in the use of simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or PSCAD.\n\nExperience with low voltage and medium voltage network distribution would be an advantage\n\nExperience with DC network & Energy Storage Systems (battery, supercaps, BMS) would be an advantage\n\nExperience in eRoom, outdoor panel, cooling design, and noise attenuation would be an advantage\n\nTeam spirit with the capacity to work independently, complemented by a quick intellect and well-developed analytical skills\n\nExperience working in an Agile development team would be preferred\n\nExperience in working with IEC standard, ANSI etc.\n\nProficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.\n\nMore about us\nAre you ready for an exciting new Opportunity?
