Implement and adhere to Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategies and processes and follow-ups in factories to ensure material availability delivery performance and cost competitiveness. Lead the procurement process for defined material groups achieving timely availability cost savings quality and service level objectives. Support the development and implementation of regional/global sourcing strategies and mange supplier performance to secure quality delivery cost and sustainability.\nHow you will make an impact:\nSupport implementation maintenance and compliance of SCM practices including Strategic Sourcing Process Excellence Risk Management Supply Base Management and Quality.\n\nDevelop and execute local sourcing plans to meet business objectives.\n\nContribute to regional and global sourcing initiatives and monitor SCM KPIs.\n\nAssist in developing regional/global sourcing strategies aligned with Category Managers.\n\nCreate sourcing concepts including supplier mix make-or-buy analysis cost scenarios and material innovation.\n\nCollaborate with stakeholders to finalize sourcing actions and timelines.\n\nCoordinate supplier selection with Category Managers and Supplier Quality Engineers.\n\nIdentify and develop new suppliers for critical materials.\n\nConduct supplier evaluation auditing and monitoring in line with SCM policies.\n\nCustomize corporate contract frameworks to suit local business needs.\n\nRecommend and execute frame agreements upon management approval.\n\nProvide market intelligence to support bid and proposal teams.\n\nPlan and oversee strategic sourcing for projects and new product development.\n\nApply CIPS methodology and drive supplier performance improvements.\n\nManage Supplier Performance Evaluation (SPE) and cost targets.\n\nMaintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure delivery quality and compliance.\n\nMonitor supplier performance and address issues proactively.\n\nWork closely with engineering planning and fulfillment teams to ensure material availability.\n\nUphold standards in health safety environment and business ethics.\n\nDemonstrate commitment to Hitachi Energys core values of safety and integrity.\n\nResponsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.\n\nLiving Hitachi Energy core values of safety and integrity which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.\n\nYour Background:\nBachelors degree or above in Engineering Economics Business Administration or Supply Chain Management or equivalent work experience.\n\nMinimum 7 to 10 years of working experience in Engineering Purchasing and Supply Chain Management.\n\nCollaborative solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.\n\nResults orientation with proven implementation skills.\n\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to influence and persuade.\n\nAbility to manage multiple tasks efficiently on a daily basis.\n\nCompliance and ethics oriented.\n\nFlexibility to travel up to 15%.\n\nPreferred: CPSM or PMP certifications SAP Experience Documentation Management Systems Power BI\n\nand proficiency with Microsoft Office.\n\nProficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.\n\nQualified individuals with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation if you are unable or limited in your ability to use or access the Hitachi Energy career site as a result of your disability.
