This role works across data protection, analytics, AI/ML, search, and modern data lakehouse platforms to ensure solution interoperability, performance, scalability, and operational excellence. The engineer functions as a technical authority, designing validation strategies, developing performance benchmarks, troubleshooting complex environments, and publishing best-practice guidance for customers and partners.\nKey Responsibilities\nSolution Architecture & Validation\nValidate partner solutions including data protection, analytics, observability, search, and data lake platforms.\nDesign and validate end-to-end reference architectures leveraging S3-compatible object storage for data protection, analytics, search, AI/ML, and data lake workloads.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and identify strategic integration opportunities for object storage platforms.\nDefine validation methodologies that accurately reflect real-world customer deployment scenarios.\nWork directly with engineering, product management, partners, and field teams to ensure successful solution integration and deployment.\nServe as a subject matter expert for object storage integration patterns, performance characteristics, and best practices.\nIntegration & Performance Testing\nDevelop and execute comprehensive integration, interoperability, scalability, and performance test plans.\nDesign benchmark tests that characterize throughput, latency, concurrency, and scalability under production-scale workloads.\nBuild automated validation frameworks and test environments that improve testing efficiency and coverage.\nIdentify performance bottlenecks across storage, network, compute, application, and infrastructure layers.\nTroubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis\nInvestigate complex issues spanning distributed applications, object storage systems, networking, operating systems, and cloud-native technologies.\nAnalyze logs, traces, metrics, and telemetry data to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.\nReproduce field and customer-reported issues and work with development teams to validate resolutions.\nProvide technical leadership during escalations involving partner integrations and strategic customer environments.\nPublish validated reference architectures, deployment guides, solution briefs, and technical whitepapers.\nDevelop sizing guidance, architecture recommendations, and performance tuning documentation.\nPresent technical findings to customers, partners, sales engineers, and executive stakeholders.\nRequired Qualifications\nExperience designing, validating, or supporting enterprise-scale data platform, storage, or cloud infrastructure solutions.\nStrong background in integration testing, performance testing, or solution validation.\nProven troubleshooting experience with distributed applications and multi-tier architectures.\nExperience with object storage technologies and S3-compatible APIs.\nStrong analytical skills and ability to investigate complex technical challenges independently.\nExcellent written communication skills with experience creating technical documentation.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Commvault, Veeam, Cohesity, Rubrik, or other data protection platforms.\nExperience with Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Splunk, or large-scale search and observability platforms.\nExperience with Apache Spark, Kafka, Trino, Iceberg, Delta Lake, Starburst, Databricks, or similar data analytics technologies.\nFamiliarity with AI/ML data pipelines and data lake architectures.\nExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native environments.\nExperience authoring technical whitepapers, benchmark reports, and reference architectures.\nExperience presenting technical findings to customers and executive audiences.\nStrong knowledge of Linux, networking, and system administration concepts.\nProficiency in Python, scripting, or test automation development.\nAbout us\nWe’re a global team of innovators.
