This role involves leading complex projects from conception through to production, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project timelines.\nHow You’ll Make an Impact:\nLead the design, analysis, and testing of complex mechanical components and systems for various Hitachi products.\nDevelop detailed engineering specifications, drawings, and documentation in accordance with industry standards and internal guidelines.\nConduct advanced simulations and analyses (FEA, CFD, stress analysis) to validate designs and predict performance under various operating conditions.\nCollaborate cross-functionally with electrical engineers, software engineers, manufacturing teams, and supply chain partners to integrate mechanical designs effectively.\nOversee the prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs, iterating as necessary to meet performance and reliability requirements.\nIdentify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in design processes, materials selection, and manufacturing techniques.\nMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex engineering challenges.\nManage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful project delivery.\nStay abreast of new technologies and industry trends in mechanical engineering and materials science. \nNote: This list of responsibilities is inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities.\nWhat You’ll Bring:\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or relevant experience.\n8+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and engineering.\nProven expertise in CAD software (e.g. N/X, SolidWorks, CATIA,).\nStrong understanding of mechanical principles.\nExperience with various manufacturing processes General Assembly or BIW assembly Tooling.\nDemonstrated ability to lead technical projects, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively in a team environment.\nExcellent problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to design and analysis.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.\nFamiliarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.\nDisclaimer: JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.\nCompany Overview:\nAt JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, we discover potential, reimagine limits, and advance industry.
