And that’s where you come in.\nJob Description:\nKey Responsibilities\nA. Quality Management & Compliance\nImplement the project-specific Quality Management Plan (QMP) in alignment with ISO 9001 requirements.\nEnsure compliance with Metro and Railway standards (EN, IEC, AREMA, NFPA 130, etc.).\nDevelop, update, and control Project Quality Procedures (PQPs), ITPs, and Method Statements.\nB. Client & Consultant Coordination\nAct as the primary interface with the Customer and Consultant for all quality-related matters.\nAttend weekly and daily Quality/Progress meetings.\nRespond professionally to NCRs, SORs, and Quality Observations.\nEnsure effective follow-up until closure of all consultant comments.\nC. Inspections & Documentation\nPrepare, submit, and follow up Material Inspection Requests (MIR) and Work Inspection Requests (WIR) until approval.\nEnsure all materials comply with contract technical specifications and approved submittals.\nSupervise site inspections and verify contractor/subcontractor compliance.\nD. Punch List Management\nLead punch list generation, distribution, tracking, and closure for all disciplines.\nCoordinate with construction, testing, and commissioning teams to achieve timely handover.\nE. Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Oversight\nStrong knowledge and involvement in Metro Testing & Commissioning activities, including:\nPICO - Pre-Installation Check-Out\nSIT - Site Integration Tests\nSAT - Site Acceptance Tests\nReviewing and approving testing procedures, test records, and ensuring compliance with railway safety and performance requirements.\nSupporting system integration, signaling, telecom, power supply, SCADA, and rolling stock testing phases.\nDocumenting and verifying test results and ensuring readiness for Trial Run & Final Acceptance.\nF. Quality Audits & Performance Monitoring\nPlan and conduct internal quality audits on site and subcontractors.\nPrepare monthly Quality Reports, KPI dashboards, NCR logs, MIR/WIR status, and testing progress.\nEnsure continuous improvement and preventive actions across all project phases.\nG. Team Leadership\nSupervise Quality Engineers, Site Inspectors, and Document Controllers.\nProvide training and awareness sessions on QMS requirements and inspection procedures.\nRequired Qualifications & Skills\nBachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related).\nMinimum 5 years of Quality Assurance experience in Metro or Railway projects.\nStrong knowledge of Metro systems, interfaces, and testing phases (PICO, SIT, SAT).\nExcellent understanding of ISO 9001 and project QA/QC practices.\nStrong communication and negotiation skills with Client and Consultant.\nExperience in managing MIR/WIR cycles, NCR closure, and punch list systems.\nProficiency in document control systems and reporting (Excel, SharePoint, Aconex, etc.).\nMust be currently residing in Alexandria.\nPersonal Competencies\nDetail-oriented with strong analytical mindset.\nAbility to work under pressure and meet strict project timelines\nThank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
