The opportunity
We are looking for a senior engineering professional with extensive experience in traction transformer design and engineering automation. As part of the Traction Transformer Platform development team, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining the mechanical design tools that support our global engineering organization.
Collaborating with experts across multiple locations, you will drive the evolution of design automation solutions, support users worldwide, and contribute to engineering excellence through standardization, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on a critical platform that directly influences the efficiency and quality of our transformer design processes.
How you’ll make an impact
Define, standardize, document, and continuously improve design rules for traction transformer design automation tools in collaboration with R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement teams.
Ensure design rules are robust, practical, and compliant with customer, internal, and international standards.
Coordinate the development and maintenance of automated design tools with global team members across multiple locations.
Develop and enhance CAD models and parametric design solutions using advanced design automation technologies.
Ensure seamless integration of design tools with Windchill PLM, Bill of Materials (BOM), and SAP-related data processes.
Train and support users and developers on design automation tools and best practices.
Monitor applicable internal and external standards and ensure ongoing compliance.
Drive continuous improvement and technology scouting within the design automation domain
Your background
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Extensive experience in the mechanical design of traction transformers
Advanced knowledge of Creo, including parametric design, part and assembly modeling, and automation through parameter-driven development
Solid programming skills with hands-on experience in MATLAB, Python, Visual Basic, or similar engineering software tools
Professional proficiency in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively in an international environment.
Self-motivated and proactive professional with a strong team-oriented mindset and the ability to work effectively both independently and within global cross-functional teams
