This role coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, ensures compliance with customer and company shipping requirements, and maintains strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams. The position plays a key role in inventory management, material handling, line-side support, and the accurate processing of purchasing, receiving, and accounting documentation. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, logistics or supply chain experience, and the ability to collaborate across departments while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.\nHow You’ll Make an Impact:\nReceiving & Inspection\nValidate all incoming shipments to ensure supplier paperwork matches physical items received and JR purchase orders.\nVerify quantities received against purchase orders, packing lists, and supplier documentation.\nEngage the Build Team and Engineering in quality control reviews of incoming shipments.\nPerform material “check-in” processes to confirm delivery to the Build Team. \nLogistics & Transportation Coordination\nSchedule and coordinate all LTL freight and small parcel pickups and deliveries (e.g., FedEx, UPS).\nAdhere to all client shipping guidelines, routing requirements, and packaging standards. \nCommunicate shipment status, exceptions, delays, tracking details, insurance information, and claims in a timely manner.\nMaintain strong relationships with carriers and logistics partners.\nInventory, Material Handling & Line-Side Support\nDeliver materials to job shelves throughout the facility to support line-side stocking programs.\nStage skids and bulk materials at designated plant locations based on point-of-use requirements.\nWork with the Build Team to develop, organize, and maintain material storage areas throughout the facility.\nSafely load and unload machinery and equipment from all truck and trailer types used by JR, customers, and suppliers. \nDocumentation, Systems & Compliance\nEnsure purchasing, receiving, and accounting documentation is accurately routed, filed, and maintained.\nResolve shipment discrepancies with the Purchasing team.\nProcess problem invoices through the Enlighten platform.Initiate and manage the PRS process for returns, including logging and tracking root cause codes. \nCross-Functional Collaboration & Customer Support\nCoordinate with shipping and receiving team members and cross-functional partners to implement best practices and improve material flow.\nMaintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including coworkers, management, suppliers, and vendors.\nServe as a key on-site support resource while maintaining professionalism in all interactions. \nFacilities & Fleet Support\nTrack and manage fleet vehicle sign-out at assigned business unit locations. \nNote: This list of responsibilities is by no means inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities.\nWhat You’ll Bring:\n3+ years of experience in business environment\nLogistics, Material Management or Supply Chain experience preferred.\nProficient in Microsoft Office.Proven ability to accept direction and complete tasks as assigned while working as part of a team or individually.\nAbility to lift to 50 lbs. as required.Ability to obtain a Hi-Lo (Forklift) and Overhead Crane license while employed at JR\nDisclaimer: JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.\nCompany Overview:\nAt JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, we discover potential, reimagine limits, and advance industry.
