The Opportunity

Hitachi Energy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site M&E Supervisor to join our HVDC team.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and inspecting Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) installation activities across the delivery scope of HVDC converter station projects. Working as part of the Site Management Team, you will report directly to the Civil Construction Manager and collaborate closely with project stakeholders to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient project execution.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Supervise all on-site M&E installation activities, ensuring works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
• Support the planning and execution of M&E activities, ensuring alignment with overall project schedules and key milestones.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, approved drawings, and applicable standards.
• Identify, report, and support the resolution of non-conformities and quality issues in a timely manner.
• Promote and enforce compliance with Hitachi Energy's Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements and all relevant site regulations.
• Participate in safety briefings, site inspections, and risk mitigation activities to ensure a safe working environment.
• Review, prepare and maintain M&E Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Inspection Test Records (ITRs), progress reports, and other construction documentation.
• Ensure construction documentation is current, controlled, and available to support site execution activities.
• Coordinate red-line mark-ups and as-built information with subcontractors, engineering teams, and project stakeholders.
• Proactively identify and resolve site challenges, working collaboratively with engineering, construction, and subcontractor teams.
• Maintain effective communication with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure successful project delivery.

Your Background

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience supervising M&E installation works, ideally within large-scale industrial, power, energy, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of M&E systems, construction methodologies, installation practices, and applicable industry standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, schematics, and construction documentation.
• Demonstrated commitment to health and safety, with a strong understanding of HSE regulations and industry best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic site environment.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with project management and construction reporting tools.
• Willingness to travel and work on project sites as required.
