You will perform Data Science(Data Mining/AI) work, design, analysis, programming and integration activities in the development of software for train control systems of Ground Transportation Systems Canada, achieving Customer Satisfaction of the delivered solution/product\nKey Accountabilities\nUnderstands the customer’s needs and through life cycle concerns whatever the used means (e.g. advanced studies, simulations, mock-ups, models, prototypes, etc.).\nContributes to the formalization of mission/function description, architectural & algorithms design and the refinement of functional and non-functional requirements.\nDesigns codes, debugs, write test procedures and tests software code, chairs design reviews.\nReviews code, test procedures and test results\nAnalyses and implements correction for defect reports\nPerform engineering testing in the field and investigates problems in the field.\nContributes to co-engineering activities with the Systems Engineering team in order to ensure system-software consistency and the right refinement of software components and compliance with the software architecture\nSolves tasks in the best technical and timely manner, while looking for opportunities and making suggestions for improvements\nKey Requirements\nThe successful candidate should be working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.\nKnowledgeable of the software development processes\nAble to quickly integrate with the team and work independently\nPractical experience in using typical programs which are part of Microsoft Office Suite\nKnowledgeable of object-oriented techniques, multithreading, socket programming, General Windows Programming\nStrong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are required.\nThe ability to work 40 hours a week in a hybrid environment for the duration of the internship is essential. At least 3days a week in the office.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCo-op student available for a 4-month term, with at least one additional quarter or semester of coursework remaining after the completion of the internship.\nPrevious coop work experience is an asset.
