We’re looking for people who love being part of a diverse, global team - and who get excited about making a real-world impact with data.\nJob description\nSoftware Development Test Engineering (High Tech) work focuses on developing software to test multiple types/categories of software including end-user applications and operating systems/utility software (which provides a platform for running end user applications for external customers. \nThe work includes: Developing and directing the preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, quality assurance plans, procedures, and schedules. Planning and conducting software testing (including using programming languages to write code for use in testing the application/software code), performing analysis of test results, and tracking/reporting risk levels during test execution. Performing regression and ad-hoc testing of software and components potentially affected by system changes. Diagnosing software/hardware/data interface problems and ensuring system integration \nThis professional is a recognized subject matter expert in job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.\nKey Responsibilities\nManaging large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager\nLead the design and execution of comprehensive software test strategies, test plans, and quality validation processes.\nDevelop automated test frameworks and tooling using Python, C++, and go.\nDesign and implement functional, integration, regression, performance, scalability, and system-level testing solutions.\nPartner closely with software developers during feature development to ensure testability, quality, and comprehensive coverage.\nPerform root-cause analysis on complex software failures and customer-reported issues.\nDebug issues across application code, automation frameworks, operating systems, networking, storage subsystems, and hardware interfaces.\nDevelop and maintain CI/CD validation pipelines and automated quality gates.\nAnalyze automated test results and provide risk assessments to engineering leadership.\nValidate distributed systems, disaster recovery workflows, high-availability architectures, and hybrid cloud deployments.\nDrive quality improvements through automation, code reviews, process optimization, and engineering best practices.\nMentor engineers and provide technical guidance on software quality and automation architecture.\nLead cross-functional efforts involving development, test, support, product management, and operations teams.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.\n10+ years of experience in software engineering, software test engineering, or quality engineering.\nStrong software development experience in Python, C++, C, Go, or equivalent languages.\nExperience building and maintaining automated test frameworks and infrastructure.\nExpertise in test automation, CI/CD practices, and software quality methodologies.\nExperience debugging complex software issues and performing root-cause analysis.\nStrong understanding of Linux-based systems and enterprise software environments.\nExperience with Git, Jenkins, and modern software development workflows.\nKnowledge of REST APIs, distributed systems, and client/server architectures.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with enterprise storage systems, SAN, NAS, and data protection technologies.\nExperience with hybrid cloud architectures and cloud-integrated applications.\nExperience with AWS services and cloud-based storage solutions.\nKnowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, containers, and cloud-native technologies.\nExperience validating high-availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.\nFamiliarity with networking, virtualization, and hardware/software integration.\nExperience developing automation using PyTest or similar frameworks.\nExperience working on large-scale enterprise infrastructure platforms and AI driven test development.\nAbout us\nWe’re a global team of innovators.
