This platform is a safety critical real-time hard- and software platform for the railway domain certified for the highest safety integrity level. It consists of the operating system, security services, a safe middleware providing fault tolerance and safe communication, and hardware components.\nThe Dependable Systems team focuses on the evolution and development of the safe middleware of TAS Platform and the evaluation of new technologies.\nJoin us now at Hitachi Rail in Austria!\n YOUR CHALLENGE\nSoftware development with the focus on safety, real-time and security in the railway domain\n\nDesign and implementation for distributed systems and related protocols\n\nAnalyzing of complex systems\n\nParticipating in technical architecture and design workshops\n\nWriting design papers\n\nDevelopment, integration and verification of our technical functions and solutions\n\nWork in distributed teams\n\nWork in an agile team with standardized processes (quality, safety, security)\n\n YOUR PROFILE\nA completed education (HTL, FH, University) in Informatics, Electrical Engineering or similar\n\nExperienced knowledge in C, knowledge in C++ is beneficial\n\nKnowledge in embedded real-time systems used for safety and security related applications\n\nGood knowledge of LINUX OS and development environment\n\nUnderstanding of distributed consensus protocols and virtualized systems\n\nKnowledge of git\n\nGood communication skills for working in distributed teams\n\nThinking analytically is a strength\n\nFluency in English language, fluency in German is beneficial\n\nWorking in a team using agile methods\n\nWE OFFER\nThe salary for this position starts at € 50.000 gross p.a.
