Our mission is to protect the company’s and its customers’ critical information systems and data by proactively monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cyber threats. We are a team of passionate security professionals, threat hunters, and problem-solvers who continuously strive to improve our security posture through innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.\nWe are looking for a highly motivated Senior Security Engineer who is passionate about cybersecurity, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to contribute to a world-class Security Operations Center.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nAs a Senior Security Engineer, you will work as an individual contributor within our 24x7 Security Operations Center and play a key role in strengthening our detection, response, and threat hunting capabilities.\nCore Responsibilities\nMonitor, triage, and investigate alerts from SIEM, EDR, DLP, Email Security, Identity Protection.\nLead the investigation of escalated security incidents and drive them to resolution with clear root cause analysis (RCA).\nPerform proactive threat hunting across enterprise environments to identify advanced threats and suspicious activities.\nDevelop, tune, and maintain detection use cases, correlation rules, and security analytics.\nManage and optimize security controls, policies, and automated workflows within EDR platforms (CrowdStrike preferred).\nConduct malware analysis and security investigations across endpoints, identities, cloud services, and network environments.\nReview and analyze telemetry, logs, and threat intelligence to identify security anomalies and attack patterns.\nCollaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, Network, IAM, Compliance, and Engineering teams to improve security controls.\nMentor SOC analysts and provide technical guidance during investigations and incident response activities.\nKeep up to date with emerging threats, attacker techniques, security technologies, and industry best practices.\n\nWhat You Bring to the Team\nRequired Experience\n4-6 years of experience in a 24x7 Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.\nStrong experience handling escalated security incidents and leading investigations.\nHands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, DLP, Email Security, Identity Protection.\nExperience creating and tuning correlation rules, detection logic, and security policies.\nExperience working with CrowdStrike Falcon or other enterprise EDR platforms.\nExperience conducting incident response, threat hunting, digital forensics, and malware investigations.\nStrong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK Framework, Cyber Kill Chain, Threat Intelligence, and Attack Analysis.\nExperience performing root cause analysis and producing incident reports for management and technical teams.\nGood understanding of Identity Security, Privileged Access, and Identity Protection concepts.\nStrong knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTPS, LDAP, VPNs, and web technologies.\nExperience with Windows, Linux/Unix, macOS, and server environments.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to work independently and drive security initiatives to completion.\n\nIt Will Be a Plus If You Have\nKnowledge of Cloud Security (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform).\nKnowledge with Vulnerability Management and Security Assessments.\nSecurity certifications such as:CrowdStrike Certifications\nCEH\nCompTIA CySA+\n\nWhy Join Us?\nIf you are passionate about cybersecurity, threat hunting, detection engineering, and incident response, and want to work with a highly skilled global security team protecting a large enterprise environment, we invite you to join Hitachi Digital Cyber Defence Team and contribute to our mission of securing the future.\nAbout us\nWe’re a global, 1000-stong, diverse team of professional experts, promoting and delivering Social Innovation through our One Hitachi initiative (OT x IT x Product) and working on projects that have a real-world impact.
