No matter your background, education, or career path, if you share our vision to create extraordinary experiences, you belong at HITT.\nAssociate, PayrollJob Description:\nThe Certified Payroll Associate will provide support to Brycon LLC, a subsidiary of HITT Contracting and is responsible for processing certified payroll reports, monitoring subcontractor compliance, and supporting labor compliance efforts for prevailing wage and public works projects. This role works closely with subcontractors, labor compliance officers, and awarding agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and project-specific labor requirements. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nThe Certified Payroll Associate will comply with the policies/procedures of HITT Contracting, affiliated unions, federal, state, and other regulatory agencies, as well as individual project requirements. Year-over-year, we are ranked as a Top Workplace in the large company category by the Washington Post.\nPlease note that this position is based in Rio Rancho and requires an in-office presence five days per week.\nResponsibilities\nProcess and review certified payroll reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.\n\nMonitor and audit subcontractor certified payroll submissions across all contractor tiers.\n\nVerify compliance with prevailing wage requirements, including Davis-Bacon and state labor compliance regulations.\n\nReview labor classifications, apprentice ratios, fringe benefit statements, and worker compensation documentation.\n\nTrack and apply correct federal, state, and project-specific wage determinations.\n\nPrepare and maintain labor compliance documentation and reports.\n\nUtilize compliance tracking systems such as LCPtracker, DIR, and other reporting platforms.\n\nAssist with contractor and subcontractor communication regarding payroll compliance requirements.\n\nWorking knowledge of payroll best practices, and a strong understanding of labor laws (FLSA, etc.) and tax regulations (FICA, etc.) related to payroll administration preferred.\n\nManage the Brycon Payroll inbox and provide timely responses to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, issues, and concerns.\n\nMaintain electronic records, filing systems, and supporting documentation.\n\nCoordinate with labor compliance officers, awarding agencies, and project teams as needed.\n\nProcess new hire onboarding activities in UKG, administer child support orders and employee notifications, and complete employment verification requests in a timely and confidential manner.\n\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nMinimum one year of experience in certified payroll administration, prevailing wage compliance, or construction payroll.\n\nConstruction industry experience preferred.\n\nStrong working knowledge of:\nDavis-Bacon Act\n\nCopeland Anti-Kickback Act\n\nDepartment of Labor regulations (29 CFR Parts 1, 3, and 5)\n\nSkilled and Trained Workforce requirements\n\nExperience reviewing subcontractor compliance and certified payroll reports.\n\nFamiliarity with LCPtracker, PointsNorth, or similar labor compliance software.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.\n\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities.\n\nAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.\n\nExperience preparing or reviewing WH-347 forms.\n\nExperience with prevailing wage projects for public works or government-funded contracts.\n\nKnowledge of labor compliance reporting and conformance request processes.\n\nBilingual proficiency is a plus.\n\nExperience with UKG and Sage software is preferred.\n\nHITT Contracting is an equal opportunity employer.
