With 14 operating office locations across the country, HITT offers a positive and inclusive, team-oriented work environmentand is ranked as a top workplace from coast to coast.\nResponsibilities:\nCommit to being fully onsite for the duration of the 12-month training program to fully shadow, learn, and gain hands-on experience with the day-to-day operations of your assigned project(s)\n\nDemonstrate understandingof training topics throughout each phase of the first year, participatingfully in performance reviews to ensure knowledge retention and development goals on a 4-month cadence\n\nFollow all directions, task assignmentsand coaching offered by your dedicated Futures Program Sponsor (a tenured and experienced superintendent or above)\n\nShowcase required professional skills throughout the PE experience, such asthe ability to:\n\nCommunicate clearly, concisely, and professionally, with a strong focus on professional, audience-appropriate writing and verbal skills\n\nOrganize and manage multiple tasks and priorities at the same time\n\nDemonstrate integrity consistently with The HITT Way and ourcore values\n\nSeek continuous improvement of knowledge and abilities, internally focusing on self-improvementand taking initiative\n\nAdapt and exercise flexibility within the ever-changing world of construction technology, design, means, and methods\n\nCollaborate with people of various backgrounds while maintainingrelationships with colleagues, clients, subcontractors, and vendors\n\nExhibit conscientiousness by being punctual, engaged, and respectful of others\n\nMaster required job-specific and technical skills in order topromote to an assistant superintendent or assistant project manager following the 12-month training programincluding,but not limited to, the ability to:\n\nSet up and maintainjobsite office andall jobsite records, including project directory, construction documents, subcontractor directory, daily reports, submittal logs, RFI logs, subcontractor correspondence, etc.\n\nMake updates to as-built drawings as directed andinterpret basic coordination drawings\n\nDirect installation of building and site protection, including signage and postings, and identifyitems requiredto “make safe” prior to demolition\n\nAssistin specific construction tasks as directed\n\nParticipate in site inspections to ensure HITT’s expectations for quality and workmanship are met\n\nMake periodic updates to the project schedule as directed\n\nComplete basicmaterial take-offs, place supplier orders,and receive delivery of materials\n\nAssistthe superintendent in the use of survey and layout instruments\n\nBe able to interpret basic tests and reports (air balance, soils report, concrete test)\n\nSet up and run a subcontractor foremen’smeeting when directed by the Superintendent\n\nUnderstand cost implications and consequences associated with specific construction tasks at various stages of a project\n\nAssist Project Managers with logistical tasks, including budgeting and client management, as needed\n\nAssistin the implementation of HITT’s Corporate Safety Programby conductingweekly safety meetings, toolbox talks, andcompleting all required safety reports when directed\n\nRequired to commute to a jobsite within a 30-40-mile radius of their assigned office location\n\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma required\n\nMilitary experience or an accredited Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Business is strongly preferred\n\nPreviousexperience on commercial job sites is strongly preferred\n\nPassion for construction industry and on-site work\n\nAbility to learn sector- and project-specific software systems, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office 365 (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), ProCore, Adobe Suite, BlueBeam, and JD Edwardssoftware suite\n\nAbility to walk and/or stand for long periodsof time\n\nAbility to lift upto 50lbs\n\nIn accordance with California’s Labor Code Section 432.3, the base salary range for this position is:\n$85,000.00 - $85,000.00Compensation in other cities and states may vary.
