Working directly with the project MEP Superintendent conducting field inspections, progress updates, assisting with document control, equipment inspections, vendor coordination, and supporting the equipment startup and commissioning process.\nResponsibilities\nMaintain adherence to HITT’s standards of safety\n\nAssist bidding mechanical and electrical trades\n\nEnsure that required documentation is filed\n\nAssist in conducting project meetings and record minutes\n\nCollaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the life of the project\n\nAssist in developing an MEP critical path schedule\n\nUpdate project schedule, establish overall project logistics\n\nAssist in coordinating and tracking critical path construction and startup activities\n\nReview mechanical and electrical submittals\n\nTrack and coordinate equipment deliveries\n\nAssist MEP Manager to provide conflict resolution for MEP issues\n\nAssist in coordinating and managing the quality control process for MEP systems construction\n\nAssist in managing startup and pretesting of mechanical and electrical systems\n\nAssist coordinating and supporting third party commissioning activities\n\nManage commissioning documentation\n\nAssist in managing the closeout process\n\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma required, four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.\n\n2-5 years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor\n\nPassion for construction industry\n\nAbility to recognize and seek quality\n\nStrong communication skills; verbal and written\n\nStrong leadership skills; able to build and lead a team\n\nAptitude for problem solving\n\nAbility to work independently\n\nMotivated self-starter\n\nEffectively utilize computer and software technology in the performance of duties\n\nWillingness to travel\n\nHITT Contracting is an equal opportunity employer.
