No matter your background, education, or career path, if you share our vision to create extraordinary experiences, you belong at HITT.\nMEP SuperintendentJob Description:\nThe MEP Superintendent’s role is to coordinate and manage all activities related to the construction startup and commissioning of the mechanical, electrical, and control systems in accordance with the contract documents and project schedule.\nResponsibilities\nAssist bidding mechanical and electrical trades\n\nManage Equipment Procurement process\n\nDevelop MEP critical path schedule\n\nCoordinate and track critical path construction and startup activities\n\nTrack and coordinate equipment deliveries\n\nReview mechanical and electrical submittals\n\nOrganize and conduct project meetings for critical MEP activities\n\nDevelop MOP for critical work in live environments\n\nWork with subcontractors and design team to provide conflict resolution for MEP issues\n\nCoordinate and manage the quality control process for MEP systems construction\n\nManage startup and pretesting of mechanical and electrical systems\n\nCoordinate and support third party commissioning activities\n\nManage commissioning documentation\n\nBuild strong client relations\n\nQualifications\nA four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.\n\nIn lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable.\n\n4 years experience in Mechanical or Electrical System Construction\n\n3 years combined experience in Mission Critical Construction, Hospital Construction, MEP Project Management, or Mechanical and Electrical System Start-up and Commissioning\n\nStrong communication skills; verbal and written\n\nStrong leadership skills; able to build and lead a team\n\nCapable in coordinating and scheduling MEP activities\n\nAptitude for problem solving\n\nAbility to work independently\n\nMotivated self-starter\n\nEffectively utilize computer and software technology in the performance of duties\n\nPreconstruction / Equipment Procurement Experience\n\nWilling to travel\n\nIn accordance with California’s Labor Code Section 432.3, the base salary range for this position is:\n$108,900.00 - $165,770.00Compensation in other cities and states may vary. HITT Contracting offers a competitive total benefits and compensation package including performance-based bonuses, premium health care coverage including vision and dental, employer-matched 401(k), wellness reimbursement program, paid holidays and time-off, and other voluntary benefits and leave types.
