No matter your background, education, or career path, if you share our vision to create extraordinary experiences, you belong at HITT.\nSenior Preconstruction ManagerJob Description:\nA Senior Preconstruction Manager is responsible for leading and managing multiple projects working with a team of preconstruction managers, and shared team resources to deliver exceptional deliverables to our clients. In his/her duty they will be responsible for the day to day execution to provide preconstruction services from initial program design phase until final construction documents are complete for assigned projects. This may include feasibility studies, budget estimates from conceptual design to final bidding, comparative studies, value engineering and presentation of the same to both internal and external clients. As a leader, a senior preconstruction manager should lead by example and personify The HITT Way.\nEducation/ Years of Experience:\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field, preferred\n\nAt least (7) years of related commercial construction work experience\n\nHas been the lead preconstruction manager on several projects\n\nHas led others as team leader and has worked to develop and coach others\n\nDirection, Supervision & Authority:\nThis position typically reports to the Vice President of Preconstruction or Preconstruction Executive\n\nThis position directly supervises preconstruction managers, assistant managers and project engineers\n\nProvide complete services to our Clients and Operations teams described above with minimal oversight\n\nSenior Preconstruction Managers will lead multiple project teams in all aspects of bid and budget deliverables\n\nThis position will participate in the hiring and termination process\n\nSkills/Abilities:\nSoftware proficiency\nMicrosoft Office Suite, with high level of proficiency using Excel\n\nOn Screen Take-off (OST)\n\nAdobe products, including Bluebeam\n\nResource to clients and design teams to positively promote HITT Preconstruction advantages\n\nProvide complete preconstruction services to our clients and operations team with minimal oversight\n\nPrepare and analyze pricing proposals to include current market and regional conditions, historical data, material escalation, internal estimate and subcontractor input in order to provide complete and accurate estimates to our clients\n\nSuccessfully manage the design and preconstruction phase with all stakeholders including owners, design team, consultants and HITT operations to move the project into the construction phase\n\nPresentation and interviews with clients, including strategic preparation\n\nFully understand all building systems and opportunities to control or reduce costs\n\nUnderstand construction drawings and specifications and identify missing elements to provide complete proposals\n\nUnderstand project scheduling (P6), phasing and logistical planning of projects\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nUnderstand geotechnical reports\n\nUnderstand Building Code and LEED Requirements\n\nQualities & Attributes:\nLeadership - is a leader and knowledge holder of the projects\n\nDecision-making - facilitates the decision-making process\n\nPositive attitude & Passion - exhibits a can-do, positive attitude and passion for construction and our industry\n\nSelf-motivated and proactive - takes initiative and seeks responsibility\n\nIntegrity - behaves consistently with The HITT Way\n\nSelf-development - seeks continuous improvement of knowledge and abilities\n\nQuality - has ability to recognize quality and implements HITT and contractual quality standards\n\nFlexibility - is flexible with the ever-changing world of technology, design, means and methods and can “roll with the punches” the construction world produces\n\nTeamwork and Collaboration - can work collaboratively with people of various backgrounds and styles\n\nCustomer service-oriented and is committed to going above the “normal” call of duty\n\nCoaches, trains and educates preconstruction team members\n\nClient Relationships - able to sustain existing client relationships and develop new client relationships\n\nTime Management - understands and knows what tasks are more important than others and what needs to be solved immediately and what can wait; helps others prioritize\n\nRespectful - is punctual, engaged/focused, and respectful of others\n\nHITT Contracting is an equal opportunity employer.
