The role is a backfill for a departing senior data engineer in the client's Solution Product Line (SPL). It involves maintaining and developing data pipelines, serverless migration and ownership of the CI/CD process.\n\nRequirements:\n\n- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field\n\n- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering with strong big data expertise\n\n- Deep expertise in Databricks (2+ years), Spark and SQL\n\n- Strong data modeling and ETL experience with large-scale datasets\n\n- Hands-on experience orchestrating data pipelines with Airflow and CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar)\n\n- Proven experience with Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog, Delta Sharing and SQL Warehouse\n\n- Proficiency in Python for data engineering workflows\n\n- Familiarity with analytics engineering and dbt\n\n- Experience with data governance, compliance and security in a cloud environment\n\n- Experience adopting software engineering best practices (testing, modularization, refactoring, automation)\n\n- Ability to optimize data systems for performance and cost efficiency in cloud environments\n\n- Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently and mentor junior engineers\n\n- English: Upper-Intermediate or higher\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n- Serverless migration: adapt existing pipelines / code to run on different cluster types (serverless) without issues\n\n- CI/CD ownership: maintain and improve CI/CD processes, propose architectural improvements\n\n- Pipeline monitoring: proactively check repositories, review merge requests and team members' changes\n\n- Functional and technical work: write pipeline code and understand the
