This could be your opportunity.\n\nHive Colab is recruiting a team to deliver the Youth Startup Academy (YSA 2.0), which incubates entrepreneurs in Uganda’s creative sector. YSA 2.0 is delivered in partnership with the International Trade Centre (ITC) under the project “Uganda: Enhancing Skills and Enabling Financial Inclusion for Young Women in the Creative Economy”, known as the CREATE Programme.\n\nThe purpose of YSA 2.0 is to strengthen the startup ecosystem for young entrepreneurs under the age of 35 in Uganda by providing comprehensive incubation services, networking opportunities and access to finance. Over the life of the project, 1,000 entrepreneurs will move through three incubation stages, from bootcamp to classroom training to incubation, with 450 progressing to the second stage and 180 to the third. The programme combines training, mentorship, grants (including film accelerator grants), pitch events and ecosystem engagement, delivered through more than 20 regional training events across Uganda.\n\nWe invite qualified, motivated and results-oriented individuals to apply for the project roles below. Checks will be proportionate to the role and comply with applicable legislation.\n\nApplication deadline: Thursday, 5 November 2026\n\nRole Purpose\n\nThe Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring seamless planning, coordination, and execution of all project activities across the three incubation stages, multiple cohorts, and regional locations. The role ensures that all operational components of the programme run efficiently, stakeholders remain aligned, and entrepreneurs receive a consistent and high-quality experience throughout the programme lifecycle.\n\nThis role is critical to managing the complexity of delivering large-scale, multi-stage incubation programmes involving training, mentorship, grants, and ecosystem engagement across Uganda.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDevelop detailed implementation schedules for all project components, ensuring alignment with overall project timelines and milestones.\n\nCoordinate the execution of all incubation stages, including bootcamps, classroom training sessions, incubation activities, mentorship engagements, pitch events, and graduation ceremonies.\n\nManage the scheduling and deployment of mentors, facilitators, and technical consultants across all cohorts and regions, ensuring optimal utilisation and alignment with startup needs.\n\nServe as the central coordination point between the Project Lead, field teams, mentors, partners, and service providers.\n\nTrack progress of all activities against approved workplans and proactively identify and address delays or bottlenecks.\n\nOversee logistical planning and execution for all training events across regions, including venue coordination, participant management, materials preparation, and on-site support.\n\nEnsure smooth onboarding, progression, and transition of entrepreneurs across Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3 of the incubation programme.\n\nCoordinate organisation of pitch events, mock pitch sessions, and graduation events, ensuring quality delivery and stakeholder participation.\n\nMaintain a centralised system for tracking all programme activities, deliverables, and responsibilities across teams.\n\nSupport integration of entrepreneurs into the Ye Community platform and ensure consistent engagement.\n\nWork closely with the M&E Lead to ensure accurate tracking of participation, attendance, and activity completion.\n\nSupport the preparation of operational updates, reports, and documentation required by the Project Lead and donor.\n\nEnsure compliance with project implementation guidelines, timelines, and operational standards.\n\nRelevant Experience\n\nAt least 3-5 years of relevant experience in project coordination, programme management, business incubation, entrepreneurship development, or a related field.\n\nDemonstrated experience coordinating multi-stage projects, including work planning, implementation scheduling, resource allocation, and tracking deliverables against agreed timelines.\n\nProven experience managing training programmes, entrepreneurship support initiatives, accelerators, incubators, mentorship programmes, or enterprise development activities.\n\nExperience coordinating multiple stakeholders, including project teams, trainers, mentors, consultants, implementing partners, and government or private-sector institutions.\n\nDemonstrated ability to organise regional training events, workshops, bootcamps, pitch events, and other programme activities.\n\nExperience preparing implementation plans, activity trackers, progress reports, and operational updates.\n\nExperience working on donor-funded projects and familiarity with donor reporting and compliance requirements is an added advantage.\n\nKey Deliverables and Reporting\n\nComprehensive implementation schedules covering all stages, cohorts, and regions.\n\nDetailed activity trackers capturing progress against milestones and deliverables.\n\nAttendance records and participation reports for all training sessions, mentorship engagements, and events.\n\nPre-stage operational briefs outlining readiness for each incubation phase.\n\nReal-time operational updates during implementation of each stage, including issue tracking and resolution actions.\n\nPost-activity reports summarising execution, participation, challenges, and lessons learned.\n\nCoordination reports capturing mentor and facilitator deployment and utilisation.\n\nDocumentation and reports for pitch events, mock pitch sessions, and graduation ceremonies.\n\nInputs into quarterly narrative reports, including operational insights and execution performance.\n\nContinuous communication updates to ensure alignment across internal teams and
