Possibility for longterm employment may be assessed post-season .\nLocation: Hive Bakery & Cafe\nPosition Summary:\nThe Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients and performing basic cooking tasks according to Hive Bakery & Cafe’s recipes, procedures, and quality standards. This role supports the kitchen team by ensuring all prep work is completed efficiently and accurately to meet daily production needs.\nResponsibilities:\nFood Preparation:\nPrepare ingredients according to recipes, procedures, and prep lists.\nWash, chop, measure, and organize ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations.\nLabel and date all prepped items and ensure freshness.\nMaintain assigned par levels of prepped ingredients.\nSupport the Line Cooks and Bakers by ensuring all prep is ready for service and production.\nOperational Duties:\nMaintain, stock, restock, clean, and organize prep station and storage areas.\nComplete opening, side, and closing duties in a timely manner following established standard operating procedures.\nSafely operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, and food processors.\nAlert management of any equipment malfunctions or shortages.\nTraining and Knowledge:\nComplete and pass all required training-both initial and ongoing.\nLearn and follow Hive Bakery & Cafe’s recipes, portion standards, and safety protocols.\nStay informed on menu updates and production changes.\nTeam Support & Communication:\nAssist kitchen team during peak hours and when additional support is needed.\nCommunicate any prep needs, shortages, or concerns to management promptly.\nMaintain a positive and cooperative attitude with fellow team members.\nSanitation and Safety:\nFollow all sanitation and food safety standards.\nPractice proper handling, storage, receiving, labeling, and rotation procedures.\nMaintain a clean and organized work environment.\nWear appropriate PPE and follow safety protocols at all times.\nCommunication and Flexibility:\nRespond appropriately to tasks assigned by the management team.\nMaintain regular, consistent attendance and punctuality.\nFollow all company policies as outlined in the company handbook.\nBe flexible with scheduling (must be available to work weekends and holidays).\nAccountabilities:\nComplete prep work accurately and efficiently according to standards.\nMaintain a clean uniform and professional appearance.\nAssist in keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and safe.\nDemonstrate teamwork, effective communication, and a positive attitude.\nEnsure all cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards are consistently met.\nBenefits For You:\nDynamic and supportive work environment that values and prioritizes God, family, and work. \nOpportunities for professional growth and development \nEngaging and collaborative company culture \n50% Hive Collective employee discount to you and immediate family members \nHolidays off;
