Come and help us build it.\nAbout the Role\nThe Vehicle Integration Engineer is the technical owner of each machine retrofit. This person leads the integration from the initial vehicle assessment through field commissioning and technical acceptance.\nThe role sits at the intersection of mechanical, electrical, embedded, robotics software, and deployment engineering.\nResponsibilities\nDefine the end-to-end integration architecture for each vehicle.\n\nAssess vehicle systems, interfaces, operating modes, and integration constraints.\n\nOwn mechanical integration, including component placement, brackets, mounting, protection, and cable routing.\n\nDefine interfaces between the vehicle, Hive hardware, embedded controls, and robotics software.\n\nCoordinate work across electrical, embedded software, robotics software, and deployment teams.\n\nLead machine bring-up, system debugging, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution.\n\nDefine integration and acceptance test plans.\n\nOwn technical readiness for customer deployment.\n\nDevelop repeatable Vehicle Adapter Kits, BOMs, drawings, and installation procedures.\n\nCapture lessons learned and improve the integration process across vehicle platforms.\n\nQualifications\n5+ years of experience in vehicle, robotics, automotive, industrial equipment, or systems integration.\n\nStrong hands-on experience integrating complex electromechanical systems.\n\nExperience with industrial vehicles, construction equipment, material-handling equipment, or mobile robots.\n\nExperience integrating sensors, compute systems, actuators, controllers, and communication networks.\n\nWorking knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and CAN/J1939.\n\nAbility to read mechanical drawings and work with CAD-based designs.\n\nStrong system-level troubleshooting and technical leadership skills.\n\nAbility to work directly with customers and deployment teams.\n\nWillingness to travel regularly and support field commissioning.","description_format":"text","description_chars":2839,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Logistics & Warehouse Robotics","Robotic Software & Control Systems"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-28T11:55:42Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":5,"expected_fill_days":46,"reasons":["conf:0","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-04T05:45:00Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":190000,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/hive-vehicle-integration-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/hive-vehicle-integration-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-05T02:24:32Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":3221,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":1779,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-06T00:00:00Z"}}}
