Come and help us build it.\nThe Role\nAs Commissioning & Field Deployment Engineer, you will be responsible for the hands-on installation, integration, testing and commissioning of Hive systems, mainly at customer sites.\nYou will work directly on industrial machines alongside Hive Engineering and Delivery, taking systems from physical installation through technical commissioning and operational readiness.\nThis is a field-focused engineering role for someone comfortable combining mechanical, electrical and software-based troubleshooting in real industrial environments.\nWhat You Will Do\nInstall & Integrate Hive Systems\nPerform mechanical and electrical installation of Hive equipment on industrial machines.\n\nInstall, connect and verify system hardware and related components.\n\nBuild, modify and troubleshoot wiring, harnesses, brackets and installation components when required.\n\nVerify installations against drawings, specifications and quality requirements.\n\nPrepare machines and equipment for commissioning and deployment.\n\nCommission Systems\nPerform system configuration, calibration and commissioning.\n\nExecute commissioning procedures, functional testing and technical verification.\n\nVerify that system components and machine interfaces operate correctly.\n\nDiagnose and resolve installation, configuration and commissioning issues.\n\nDocument commissioning results, issues and corrective actions.\n\nSupport final validation and readiness for customer operation.\n\nSupport Customer Deployments\nTravel to customer sites across the US to install and commission Hive solutions.\n\nWork closely with the Deployment Manager, Engineering and customer teams during deployment.\n\nTroubleshoot technical issues in active industrial environments.\n\nSupport testing, validation, acceptance and go-live activities.\n\nProvide hands-on technical support during the early stages of customer operations.\n\nImprove How We Deploy\nImprove installation and commissioning procedures based on field experience.\n\nIdentify recurring issues and feed practical improvements back to Engineering.\n\nHelp develop tools, documentation and checklists for future deployments.\n\nSupport preparation of machines and equipment at Hive's US facility.\n\nHelp establish a high standard for installation quality, commissioning and field execution.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nEssential\nHands-on experience with mechanical, electrical or electromechanical systems.\n\nExperience installing, commissioning, maintaining or troubleshooting industrial equipment.\n\nStrong practical troubleshooting skills.\n\nComfortable reading technical drawings, wiring diagrams and installation documentation.\n\nExperience working with electrical wiring, sensors, control systems or industrial electronics.\n\nComfortable using computers and software-based diagnostic or configuration tools.\n\nStrong attention to quality and safety.\n\nAble to work independently and solve problems in the field.\n\nComfortable working directly with customers and other technical teams.\n\nWillingness to travel extensively across the United States.\n\nAuthorized to work in the United States.\n\nStrongly preferred\nExperience with one or more of:\nIndustrial automation\n\nRobotics or autonomous systems\n\nHeavy equipment\n\nForklifts or material-handling equipment\n\nConstruction or mining machinery\n\nAutomotive or off-highway equipment\n\nField service engineering\n\nControls or electrical systems\n\nSensor installation and calibration\n\nLinux-based systems\n\nIndustrial networking\n\nExperience commissioning complex systems in customer environments is a major advantage.\nWho Thrives at Hive\nYou prefer working on real machines over sitting behind a desk.\n\nYou enjoy figuring out why something doesn't work - and fixing it.\n\nYou are comfortable combining mechanical, electrical and software troubleshooting.\n\nYou take pride in clean, reliable installations and high-quality field work.\n\nYou work well in fast-moving environments where not every problem has a documented solution.\n\nYou want to help build a field engineering capability from the ground up.\n\nThis is an opportunity to play a direct role in bringing Hive's technology from engineering into real industrial operations across the United States.\nWhy Join Hive?\nJoin Hive at a pivotal stage as we expand into the US and build a new category in Physical AI.
