Come and help us build it.\nThe Role\nAs Operations Manager, Texas, US, you will build and run the operational organization behind Hive's live customer operations in the United States.\nFollowing deployment handover, you will own day-to-day operational performance, including operators, shift coverage, training, quality, customer service and continuous improvement.\nInitially, the role is broader. As one of Hive's first US operational hires, you will also help establish our local setup, support early deployments and solve the practical challenges that come with building a new operation from the ground up.\nWhat You Will Do\nOwn Live Customer Operations\nOwn operational performance after deployment handover.\n\nEnsure Hive delivers a safe, reliable and high-quality service across customer sites.\n\nMonitor operational KPIs, service quality, incidents and uptime.\n\nCoordinate operational issues and escalations and ensure clear customer communication.\n\nDrive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring operational issues.\n\nBuild and Lead the Operator Organization in Texas\nRecruit, onboard and develop Hive's US operator team.\n\nBuild a strong pipeline of experienced industrial machine operators.\n\nOwn operator training and qualification together with relevant Hive teams.\n\nDevelop shift structures, workforce plans and schedules.\n\nCoach operators and set clear expectations for safety, quality, performance and professionalism.\n\nFollow up individual and team performance.\n\nOwn Operational Quality\nEstablish and maintain operational standards and procedures.\n\nEnsure consistent execution across shifts and customer sites.\n\nInvestigate incidents and deviations and implement corrective actions.\n\nBuild the routines, KPIs and management systems required to scale.\n\nSupport Early US Deployments\nWork closely with the Deployment, Engineering and service teams during launch and hypercare.\n\nRecruit and train operators ahead of go-live.\n\nSupport operational testing, readiness and transition into steady-state operations.\n\nEnsure a structured handover from Deployment into Operations.\n\nHelp Build Hive US\nSupport establishment of Hive's initial US operating base and practical local infrastructure.\n\nHelp establish suppliers, equipment, tools, inventory and local operating routines.\n\nSupport recruiting, onboarding, HSE and other practical requirements of a new operation.\n\nCreate structure without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.\n\nCreate a Strong Field Feedback Loop\nCapture feedback from customers and operators systematically.\n\nTranslate field experience into actionable improvements for Product, Engineering and Delivery.\n\nHelp prioritize improvements that increase safety, reliability, uptime and operational quality.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nEssential\nExperience managing industrial, field, logistics or service operations.\n\nExperience leading shift-based operational teams.\n\nDemonstrated people leadership including recruiting, onboarding, coaching and performance management.\n\nStrong operational planning and execution skills.\n\nComfortable owning real-world operations where uptime and customer experience matter.\n\nStrong safety and quality mindset.\n\nHands-on and comfortable working directly with equipment, operators and customer teams.\n\nAble to build structure in an environment where processes do not yet exist.\n\nStrong customer communication skills.\n\nWillingness to travel when operationally required.\n\nProfessional fluency in English and authorization to work in the United States.\n\nStrongly preferred\nExperience from heavy equipment operations, warehousing, logistics, material handling, mining, construction, manufacturing, fleet operations, field service, industrial automation or robotics.\n\nExperience recruiting and managing forklift, wheel loader, heavy equipment or similar operators.\n\nWhat success looks like\nHive has built a strong initial US operator organization.\n\nLive customers have reliable operational coverage and clear escalation paths.\n\nOperators are properly trained, supported and held to clear standards.\n\nShift planning and staffing are predictable and scalable.\n\nOperational incidents are handled quickly and systematically.\n\nHive has the foundations of a scalable US operating model to new hubs.\n\nWhy Join Hive?\nJoin Hive at a pivotal stage as we expand into the US and build a new category in Physical AI.
