Responsibilities\nPerform phlebotomy (blood draws) and standard laboratory technician duties in accordance with the Rules and Regulations relating to Lab Technicians in the State of Texas.\nWork compassionately and effectively with individuals with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, chemical dependency, and social or physical disorders.\nAdhere strictly to the rules, regulations, and policies of HHSC, Austin State Hospital, and HJ Staffing (including leave and attendance policies).\nComplete all mandatory daily reporting, laboratory documentation, and administrative duties as assigned.\nQualifications & Requirements\n Experience: One (1) year of phlebotomy / blood-drawing experience is preferred.\nLicensure & Certifications: Must hold and maintain current, active state/national phlebotomy or lab technician certifications throughout the duration of the assignment.\n Professionalism: Strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to maintain composure in a mental health care facility
