The ideal candidate is energetic, self-motivated, organized, competent, and professional.\nWhy work for H&K Group, Inc.?\nCompetitive salary commensurate with experience\n100% Company-paid Health Benefits\n401(k) Savings and Investment Plan\nTuition reimbursement programs available to qualifying employees for approved programs\nAdditional training programs including on the job, online through H&K Academy, manufacturer offered training, and more\nCompany vehicle\nPay Range: $18-$40 an hour, depending on skill level.\nResponsibilities\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nPerform all work adhering to OSHA, PA and DoT regulations, and H&K Safety policies\nReviews job orders and observes and listens to equipment in operators/truck drivers/shop leaders to determine malfunction and to plan work procedures.\nIdentify parts for repairs or replacement for all systems on equipment/trucks when needed.\nExamines protective guards, loose bolts and specified safety devices on equipment/trucks and makes adjustments.\nDismantles equipment/trucks to examine parts for defect or to remove defective part.\nReplaces defective part with new part or repairs or reproduces part from various kinds of metal.\nAssembles and test operates machine or test drive trucks to verify correction of malfunction and to confirm that it meets manufactures specifications.\nOverhauls gas or diesel engines.\nPerforms diagnostics through the use of computers and carious equipment.\nPerforms front end inspection and alignments.\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nRequired Skills, Education, and Experience\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR relevant experience and/or training\nCDL B\nClean driving record \nCustomer Service and Teamwork\nGeneral computer knowledge as well as caterpillar software (ET &SIS)\nAbility to use mechanics hand tools, torch, and welder\nAbility to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed\nAbility to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)\nPreferred Skills, Education, and Experience\nRelated experience and/or training\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution\nTechnical school or college in the heavy equipment field\nExperience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries\nCDL A\nOSHA, MSHA, or other relevant safety certifications\nPhysical Demands\nOccasionally required to stand, walk, or sitClimb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl\nDrive up to two hours\nUse hands to finger or feel\nTalk and hear\n\nOccasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds\nWork Environment\nOccasional exposure toMoving parts\nFumes and airborne particles\n\nNoise level is loud at times\nAt times required to work outdoors in all environments\nHours regularly exceed 40 hours a week and 8 hours a day\nBlooming Glen Contractors, Inc.
