This role provides practical legal guidance, manages risk, and supports commercial objectives across a broad range of legal, compliance, and business matters.\nResponsibilities\nDraft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including client engagements, NDAs, referral agreements, vendor agreements, real estate leases, software agreements, subcontractor agreements, and employment offer letters.\n\nReview public contract proposals, RFPs, RFQs, certifications, and representations.\n\nEvaluate and resolve conflicts of interest.\n\nPartner with the People Team on employment law matters.\n\nSupport collections activities, including collection letters and proofs of claim.\n\nAssist with acquisitions, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration.\n\nSupport legal, risk, and compliance initiatives across the business.\n\nConduct legal and regulatory research and monitor developments affecting the company.\n\nQualifications and Experience\nRequired\nJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.\n\nPennsylvania or New Jersey Bar membership in good standing.\n\n3+ years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.\n\nExperience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.\n\nStrong judgment, ethics, analytical skills, and business acumen.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences.\n\nStrong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.\n\nAbility to work independently and escalate issues appropriately.\n\nExperience using generative AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot.\n\nPreferred\nProfessional services or consulting experience.\n\nExposure to risk management, compliance, and corporate governance.\n\nExperience with conflicts reviews, employment law, insurance, real estate matters, or M&A activities.\n\nKnowledge of U.S. privacy and data protection laws and data processing agreements.\n\nSpanish language skills.\n\nWhat we offer:\nAt HKA we recognize that our people are critical to our ongoing success.
