Working closely with stakeholders, technology teams, service owners, and delivery teams, the Product Owner ensures that product investments are aligned to organisational priorities and deliver measurable business value.\nThe Product Owner acts as the voice of the customer and business, translating requirements into clear product outcomes, maintaining the product roadmap and backlog, and ensuring delivery teams remain focused on the highest-priority work. They are accountable for guiding products through their lifecycle, from concept and requirements definition through delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\nProduct Strategy & Ownership\nDefine and maintain the product vision, roadmap, priorities, and desired business outcomes.\nCollaborate with business stakeholders, service owners, and technology teams to understand requirements, challenges, and opportunities.\nOwn and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring work aligns with strategic objectives and delivers maximum value.\nDefine and refine epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success measures.\nTranslate business requirements and operational needs into clear and actionable product deliverables.\nMake informed prioritisation decisions, balancing business value, risk, technical constraints, and delivery considerations.\nMonitor product performance, adoption, and customer feedback to inform future priorities and improvements.\nManage the product lifecycle from initial concept through delivery, adoption, enhancement, and retirement.\nAct as the primary advocate for customer and business needs throughout the delivery lifecycle.\nDelivery & Execution\nLead the successful delivery of product initiatives, ensuring agreed outcomes are delivered within approved scope, timescales, and governance requirements.\nCoordinate activities across business, technology, operational teams, and third-party suppliers where required.\nManage dependencies, risks, issues, assumptions, and change impacts affecting product delivery.\nSupport Agile delivery practices including backlog refinement, sprint planning, prioritisation, acceptance testing, and release planning.\nDefine release scope and acceptance criteria to ensure delivered capabilities meet business requirements.\nBalance competing priorities and delivery constraints to maximise value and delivery confidence.\nEnsure delivered solutions are operationally ready, supported, and successfully adopted by users.\nMonitor delivery progress and product outcomes, taking corrective action where required.\nProvide regular updates on delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and achievement of expected outcomes.\nPromote continuous improvement in product delivery, user experience, and operational effectiveness.\n\nStakeholder & Governance Management\nBuild and maintain effective relationships with business, technology, operational, and delivery stakeholders.\nServe as the primary point of contact for product-related requirements, priorities, and decisions.\nFacilitate discussions and decision-making between stakeholder groups to maintain alignment and delivery focus.\nEnsure product activities comply with established governance, risk, and control processes.\nProvide timely and accurate reporting on roadmap progress, delivery status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.\nPresent recommendations, priorities, and delivery updates to stakeholders and governance forums.\nManage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication throughout the delivery lifecycle.\nSupport change management and adoption activities to maximise business value from delivered capabilities.\nFoster collaboration across teams to achieve shared objectives and successful delivery outcomes.\n\nFinancial & Commercial Management\nContribute to business cases, funding requests, and investment planning activities where required.\nSupport budget planning and expenditure tracking for product initiatives.\nAssist in evaluating delivery options and prioritisation decisions based on value, cost, risk, and business objectives.\nWork with Finance, Procurement, Technology, and business stakeholders to support effective investment decisions.\nCollaborate with third-party suppliers and delivery partners to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved.\nSupport procurement, contract management, renewals, and supplier reviews where appropriate.\nIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maximise value from product investments.\nSupport financial and governance reporting requirements throughout the product lifecycle.\n\nDesirable Academic and Professional Qualifications Required\nDegree or equivalent experience.\nProduct Management certification (CSPO, PSPO or equivalent).\nAgile, Scrum or Lean qualifications.\nPRINCE2, PMP, MSP, APM or equivalent project management certification.\nRequired Knowledge and Level of Experience\nProven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role.\nExperience managing product backlogs, roadmaps, priorities, and delivery outcomes.\nExperience working within Agile delivery environments.\nDemonstrable track record of delivering business and technology initiatives.\nStrong stakeholder management and communication skills.\nExperience defining business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.\nExperience managing risks, dependencies, and delivery priorities.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.\nFinancial services, exchange,
