Working with infrastructure, application and vendor teams, the role covers platform administration, technical implementation, operational support, security and control, performance management, and continuous service improvement.Job Duties:\nSupport mission-critical IBM Z environments requiring high availability, high throughput and effective CPU-capacity management.\nAdminister IBM Z infrastructure and core software, including z/OS, Db2 for z/OS, CICS Transaction Server and IBM MQ, plus related development, performance, connectivity, VTL and distributed-platform services.\nSupport BMC AMI storage-management and application-development software, including StopX37, and Broadcom mainframe software such as CA 1 Tape Management, CA 7 Workload Automation and Endevor Software Change Manager, from installation and maintenance through optimisation, troubleshooting and vendor coordination.\nPerform configuration, security setup, patching, upgrades, backup and recovery, performance tuning, stress testing and capacity planning.\nProvide database administration, implementation support and performance analysis to application teams.\nPartner with application, infrastructure, information security and operations teams to integrate the platform and deliver reliable production services.\nResolve complex incidents and recurring problems, and manage incidents, problems, changes and releases through ServiceNow.\nImplement compliance requirements, review controls, identify vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation while maintaining technical and recovery documentation.\nAdvise on platform architecture and database configuration, and manage vendors and delivery partners to ensure quality and timely delivery.\nJob Requirement:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related discipline.\nAt least 7 years of hands-on experience supporting IBM Z environments, with strong practical experience across core operating system, database, transaction-processing and messaging technologies.\nProven experience supporting mission-critical, high-availability and high-performance IBM Z platforms.\nPractical experience in system administration, troubleshooting, performance management, security controls, patching, upgrades, backup and recovery.\nExperience with VTL architecture and major third-party mainframe software covering tape management, workload automation, software change management, storage management or application development is an advantage.\nExperience supporting third-party mainframe storage-management or application-development software is an advantage.\n Experience working within disciplined IT service management processes is an advantage.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, accountable and collaborative working style.\nEffective interpersonal, stakeholder-management, documentation and presentation skills.\nHKEX is committed as an Equal Opportunity Employer.
