The individual will work closely with Regulatory Reporting, Technology, Compliance, Operations and third-party vendors to investigate reporting issues, improve data quality, support strategic regulatory initiatives and contribute to the development of future reporting solutions.\nThe team works with key stakeholders across the business to manage and rectify any problems that require coordinated efforts.\nResponsibilities\nEMIR Transaction, Position, Valuation and Collateral Reporting for LME Clear\nSFTR Reporting for LME Clear\nMiFID Reporting for LME\nSubmitting other regulation reports for LME and LME Clear\nDevelop and maintain SQL queries to support reconciliations, investigations and reporting validation activities\nAnalyse large regulatory reporting datasets to identify reporting exceptions, data quality issues and control weaknesses\nUtilise Python and other analytical tools to automate manual processes, controls and management reporting\nProduction of timely and accurate MIS\nStatic data maintenance\nMaintain procedures for the different reporting services\nChallenge current practices and procedures and develop and implement new procedures to\nEnhance the reporting and controls process as necessary\nRespond to client queries & resolve any issues\nReview BAU processes on a regular basis with a view to increase automation to create efficiencies within the team\nPerform UAT as required to ensure any development changes are accurately implemented\nPerform detailed root cause analysis of reporting issues across multiple systems and data sources\nSupport data lineage analysis to understand and document the flow of data from source systems to regulatory reports\nProduce meaningful management information and data driven insights to support operational and strategic decision-making\nParticipate in workshops with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation\nPERSON SPECIFICATION\nAcademic and Professional Qualifications Required\nA good level of academic achievement is required to A-Level calibre and likely to have a degree (ideal but not essential)\nRequired Knowledge and Level of Experience\n5+ years’ experience working within Regulatory Reporting or a related financial reporting or controls environment\nExperience investigating complex data issues and performing root cause analysis\nExperience working with large datasets and performing data reconciliations\nUnderstanding of the end-to-end transaction lifecycle and regulatory reporting processes\nExperience supporting change initiatives or process improvement projects\nKnowledge of Exchange and CCP would be advantageous\nSkills set and Core Competencies Required for Role\nKnowledge of the regulatory environment and requirements in relation to a Clearing House and Exchange\nKnowledge of MiFID, EMIR and SFTR would be a strong advantage\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach\nWorking knowledge of SQL, including the ability to query, analyse and validate data from multiple sources\nStrong attention to detail and ability to identify data anomalies\nAdvanced Excel skills including data analysis, reconciliation and reporting\nAbility to interpret data and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders\nStrong stakeholder management and communication skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight regulatory deadlines\nKnowledge of Python for automation, data analysis and process improvement\nExperience using JIRA, Confluence or similar change management tools\nExperience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI\nPersonal Qualities\nAbility to act as part of a team and autonomously upon own initiative as required\nProactively seek to add value and resolve issues at every opportunity\nGood interpersonal and communication skills\nStrong time management skills and ability to prioritise effectively\nAct professionally, specifically when client facing\nShows enthusiasm and commitment in accomplishing the job duties\nThe LME is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
