40 Hours (China)Scheduled Weekly Hours:\n40Worker Type:\nPermanentJob Summary:\nThe purpose of this role is to help build and run the LME’s new application hosting platform driving the adoption of Kubernetes based technologies and other automation tools to allow us to manage our hardware and environments using industry leading tooling.The role includes developing and supporting our private cloud infrastructure, including the low latency estate, designing and deploying new capabilities onto the platform, automating internal processes, and supporting user adoption of our new software defined infrastructure.\nJob Duties:\nResponsibilities:\nYou will work within the Deploy Platform team developing and supporting our strategic private cloud infrastructure (currently based on Red Hat OpenShift), including:\nBuilding, maintaining, and supporting the Private Cloud Kubernetes solution.\nExtending the capabilities provided withing the Private Cloud solution by deploying commercial, open-source, and in-house developed solutions.\nIntegrating the Kubernetes environment with other on-premises infrastructure and management tooling\nDelivering core platform services to be consumed across the LME infrastructure (e.g. development environments, secrets management, observability)\nProviding out of hours live support for the Private Cloud environment\nAssisting application teams develop and deploy their applications on the Private Cloud solution\nSupporting the virtualisation team migrate and run our Virtual Machine estate on Red Hat Openshift.\nDeploy configuration and code changes in all environments including production and our critical low-latency exchange platform\nEnsuring that the security of both the platform and applications being deployed onto it is maintained during all developments\nRequired Knowledge and Level of Experience:\nDegree in Computer Science, IT or related disciplines\nMinimum 3 years’ experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters and containers\nMinimum 3 years’ experience in DevOps, IaC, or automation tools\nGood understanding of on-premises hosting infrastructure including x64 servers, networking, storage\nExperienced in managing infrastructure as code and using automation tools\nBroad knowledge of application architecture and associated services (DNS, load-balancing, high availability, multi-site deployments, security tools etc.)\nDesirable Skills\nManaging environment using Infrasture as Code (IaC) approaches\nUse and configuration of observability tools - Grafana/Prometheus/Loki\nIntegrating with a secrets manager to store sensitive information e.g. Hashicorp Vault\nSource code management - BitBucket, GitHub, GitLab\nAutomation and templating tools - Helm, Ansible, Terraform\nCI/CD tools, deployment pipelines and workflows -
