You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, secure, and scalable solutions.\nJob Duties:\nWe are seeking a highly motivated Java Developer to join our dynamic IT division. The incumbent will be responsible for IT project implementation and application development on Post-Trade Systems.\nThe candidate should be an experienced IT professional with experience gained in the implementation of critical application systems on Linux platform and Cloud infrastructure.\nJob Responsibilites:\nResponsible for system design and project implementation activities including the business requirement analysis, resource management, application development and documentation.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features\nDesign and implement application that follows project standard technology stacks and meets business requirements with adequate test case coverage\nMaintain detailed system documentation, including Functional and Technical Specifications, Test Plans for various kinds of testing, and user & operation manuals, deployment procedures as well as contingency procedures\nTroubleshoot issues reported from system integration tests, business UAT and regression tests in a timely manner\nEnsure application can meet all necessary technical and compliance requirements such as architecture, security and infrastructure and performance\nProvide ongoing production support and BAU tasks after go-live\nUndertake any other assignments and projects assigned by supervisor.\nTrack and monitor development progress, and resolve technical conflicts and issues within team\nJob Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree (or above) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.\nMinimum 10 years’ experience in software development in large scale and mission critical systems. Candidates with fewer years of experience but strong technical capabilities may be considered at the Associate level.\nStrong skills of programming languages: Java (Mandatory) JavaScript, HTML5.\nKnowledge in Linux, shell programming, Database and SQL.\nPractical experience in Microservices, Container, and REST API development\nFamiliar with DevOps life cycles, SDLC methodology and CI/CD tools (e.g. Jira, Git, Junit, Docker, etc.)\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExperience in Cloud technologies is an advantage.\nExperience in application security (OAuth2, API security, encryption & signing etc.) is an advantage.\nExperience in messaging systems (Kafka, ActiveMQ, IBM MQ) or in-house messaging bus implementation is an advantage.\nExperience in financial services system development is an advantage.\nExperience in digital finance (tokenization, blockchain technology) is an advantage.\nKnowledge of FIX / Swift messaging protocols is an advantage.\nHKEX is committed as an Equal Opportunity Employer.
