We strive for the highest IT standard by looking out for new technologies as well as continuous internal process automation and improvement.Job Duties:\nAs Linux Senior Systems Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for Linux platform administration and operations, with exposure to virtualization and cloud environments. We play a critical role in maintaining these company-wise systems that are critical to daily business operation. We also partner with application and infrastructure teams to operate our systems in such fast growing financial markets in Hong Kong.\nJob Responsibilities:\nPartner with the application teams on IT solution configuration and review.\nInteract with internal and external parties on planning and execution.\nPlay a role in incident and problem management such as impact assessments, troubleshooting and remediation and prevention.\nCompile operation and technical documents such as knowledge base, technical procedures and test reports.\nHandle BAU processes automation\nProvide production support including on-call duties when required\nExecute changes in accordance with change management procedures\nSupport mission-critical systems with high availability requirements\nManage patching, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening.\nSupport audit, regulatory and internal control requirements.\nCoordinate with data centre operations and vendors for infrastructure issues.\nCollaborate with the Cyber security/infrastructure engineering and project teams to adopt modern technologies, such as multi-cloud and container orchestration, to enhance manageability.\nJob Requirement:\nDegree in Computer Science, Information System or IT related disciplines.\nMinimum 8 years of direct, hands-on RHEL administration experience.\nAdvanced knowledge of System tuning and troubleshooting.\nFamiliarity with scripting (Bash).\nExperience with enterprise virtualization and private cloud platforms (e.g., VMware, OpenStack, DCS, HCS)\nFamiliarity with Automation practices and tools (Ansible).\nExperience of managing change implementation on large scale systems.\nGood team player with passion to learn and aspirations for career development in the financial industry.\nHKEX is committed as an Equal Opportunity Employer.
