This role operates within a 24×7 Network Operations Center (NOC) environment and plays a key part in safeguarding production stability, resolving network incidents, and coordinating with internal teams and external service providers.Job Duties:\nResponsibilities:\nNetwork Monitoring & Incident Response\nMonitor network infrastructure, WAN/LAN links, firewalls, load balancers, and data center equipment using NMS/monitoring tools.\nDetect, analyze, and respond to network alerts and performance anomalies.\nTroubleshoot and resolve L1/L2 network issues within agreed SLAs.\nPerform initial diagnosis and escalate to L3 engineering teams when required.\nMaintain detailed incident records and ensure timely communication to stakeholders.\nTo collaborate with network service providers and other parties on production support\nWork in shift rotations (24×7 operations).\nOperations & Maintenance\nConduct routine health checks on network devices and critical circuits.\nSupport planned maintenance activities, including network upgrades, patching, and configuration changes.\nAssist in managing network assets, documentation updates, and configuration archives.\nCollaborate with vendors/telcos to resolve circuit or hardware issues.\nService Management\nHandle ServiceNow incidents, requests, and change tickets in accordance with ITIL processes.\nParticipate in root cause investigations and assist in producing post-incident reports.\nSecurity & Compliance\nMonitor and respond to security-related network events in coordination with the security team.\nEnsure adherence to governance, compliance, and change control standards.\nSupport audit exercises and maintain evidence for control checkpoints.\nContinuous Improvement\nRecommend enhancements to monitoring dashboards, alert thresholds, and operational workflows.\nContribute to automation initiatives to reduce manual operational tasks.\nParticipate in knowledge sharing and develop procedural runbooks.\nTo adopt tools and systems, such as JIRA, Confluence to enhance operation tasks and productivity\nJob Requirements:\nEducation & Professional Experience\nDegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.\n2-5 years of experience in network operations, NOC environment, or L1/L2 support roles.\nPrevious experience in regulated environments, e.g. banking, financial institution, exchanges, is an added advantage, not a must\nHolder of Cisco CCNP or equivalent (Huawei HCIP) is required\nHolder of ITIL Foundation is a plus\nTechnical Skills\nSolid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, MPLS, VPN, and network protocols.\nHands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper/Arista network devices.\nFamiliarity with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point) is a plus.\nExperience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, SevOne, Zabbix, Netbrain).\nBasic understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).\nExperience in programming with Python for network automation is a plus\nSoft Skills:\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to work under pressure in a mission-critical environment.\nEffective communication skills and teamwork mindset.\nHKEX is committed as an Equal Opportunity Employer.
