This team is driving the design, deployment, and ongoing operation support on cloud-based solutions. Also this team will work across different application development, infrastructure operations, and security teams to ensure stability, scalability, and security of HKEX cloud infrastructure.Job Duties:\nJob Responsibilities:\nMaintain platform stability and high availability by defining and monitoring key observability metrics across all cloud environments.\nLead incident response efforts and conduct thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to implement long-term preventative measures.\nDevelop and govern a library of modular Terraform modules to ensure all deployments are standardized and reproducible.\nIdentifying and reducing manual toil by building automation scripts and exploring intelligent tooling for repetitive operational tasks.\nBuild and manage comprehensive observability stacks, including monitoring and logging, to provide deep visibility into system health.\nEnforce security standards such as CIS Benchmarks through the implementation of automated guardrails.\nOptimize cloud resource utilization and costs by using predictive insights to scale infrastructure based on real-time demand.\nJob Requirements:\nMinimum 4 years in AWS, Azure, GCP or China Brand Private Cloud, professional experience in SRE or DevOps roles managing high-availability production environments.\nExpert-level proficiency in Terraform for managing large-scale infrastructure as code.\nStrong programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, or Bash for developing robust automation tools.\nExtensive hands-on experience with observability platforms like Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.\nDemonstrate a deep understanding of cloud networking and security, including VPC design and CIS compliance standards.\nFamiliar with modern automation trends, such as using AI-driven data analytics, reporting and anomaly detection to enhance incident triage.\nProven ability to solve complex problems in distributed systems while working under high-pressure situations.\nCompetencies and Behaviors Required:\nAnalytical Thinking\nBreaks down complex cloud infrastructure challenges into manageable components.\nIdentifies root causes of system issues and proposes practical, data-driven solutions.\nApplies structured thinking to evaluate cloud architecture and deployment strategies.\nRisk Awareness\nUnderstands and adheres to HKEX’s risk appetite when implementing cloud solutions.\nRecognizes potential vulnerabilities in cloud environments and proactively mitigates them.\nMakes informed decisions that balance innovation with operational stability.\nIntellectual Curiosity\nActively explores emerging cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Alibaba Cloud and China Brand Private Cloud).\nSeeks to understand the rationale behind new tools and practices such as Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.\nDemonstrates a growth mindset by continuously learning and applying new knowledge.\nResilience\nMaintains composure and adaptability when troubleshooting critical cloud system issues.\nManages multiple tasks and shifting priorities with focus and determination.\nResponds constructively to setbacks and uses them as learning opportunities.\nEffective Communication\nExplains complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.\nCommunicates status updates, blockers and risks in a timely and transparent manner.\nCollaborates effectively with cross-functional teams including development, operations and security.\nTeamwork\nWorks collaboratively with colleagues to deliver secure and scalable cloud solutions.\nSupports team members by sharing knowledge and offering assistance during project delivery.\nBuilds positive relationships across departments to ensure alignment with HKEX standards.\nHKEX is committed as an Equal Opportunity Employer.
