The Division
The Sports Business Division is central to the Club’s overall aspiration to become a globally recognised sports and entertainment brand, with world-class horse racing at its core. The Division’s overarching focus is to deliver sustainable growth of the Club’s sports business, deepen customer engagement, and contribute to position the Club as a leading global sports and entertainment brand to enable its commitment to social betterment. Its strategy is delivered through three pillars: broadening the fan base and prospecting new customers, growing the sports wagering business, and building the Club’s brand and commercialising its assets.
Job Summary
The Racing Wagering Product Strategy and Marketing Department is responsible for the strategy for wagering product to support the Club's business plans, including but not limited to the optimization of the existing wagering product and the discovery of new wagering product for both Hong Kong and overseas. This Department will also act as the data strategy owner for from the product perspective across the apps and customer touch points, as well as with external and international partners.
This job holder is responsible for conducting exploratory data analysis and machine learning algorithm to identify trends and patterns with meaningful business insights from massive datasets.
The Job
- Work with internal stakeholders to explore and understand racing related data
- Formulate and test hypotheses to evaluate business strategies and measure their impact
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies in modelling and algorithms to design scientific tests that maximize spending on new initiatives, products and marketing strategy
- Assist to development of custom data models, machine learning algorithms and Gen AI product to apply to both structured and unstructured data
- Generate regular data analysis reports
- Undertake other duties as assigned by line manager
About You
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Economics, Physics, or Machine Learning
- Strong interest in numbers and accuracy
- Ability to deliver statistical models and run forecasting in a statistical environment
- Self-motivated, strong critical and analytical mind
- Excellent written (English and Chinese) and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in R, SQL, experimental design, machine learning, response surface methodology, statistical graphics, stochastic processes, and Python
