You oversee planning, budgeting, contracting, execution, documentation, and collaboration with internal and external partners to secure sustainable, safe, and cost-efficient project outcomes.\nThis on-site role reports into our Construction Manager and is based out of one of our Sales Region locations (New York/LA/Houston/Miami)\nA Day in the Life\nWorking at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities*\nPlanning, Budgeting & Pre-Construction\nPrepare investment project budgets and business cases in line with global Construction Processes\n\nConduct site surveys, perform value engineering, and prepare risk analyses to support decision-making\n\nDevelop detailed project plans based on input from internal teams and external consultants, optimizing timelines and reducing installation, labour and related costs\n\nAlign with Leasing and Legal on contractual obligations and project demarcation\n\nLiaise with consultants and authorities to secure all required permits\n\nContinuously improve planning and follow-up tools and share best practices across the team\n\nApply retro planning using input from other departments and consultants to minimize installation, labor, and other costs\n\nProcurement, Contracting & Partner Management\nSupport (Procurements Specialist) with external partners sourcing\n\nSupport the pre-qualification of new contractors to maintain a strong, high-quality supplier base\n\nReview contracts to ensure all project and country-specific risks are covered and attach execution and payment schedules accordingly\n\nEnsure all contracts and appendices are approved and signed before any work begin\n\nSecure contractual obligations through qualitative contract management throughout the project lifecycle\n\nEnsure country-specific risks are incorporated in contracts and that payment schedules follow legal/market norms\n\nEnsure that all contracts are stored and signed according to approval rights and governance rules\n\nProject Execution, Quality and Health & Safety\nSecure that stores are designed and built in line with building specifications and interior guidelines\n\nFollow up on construction progress through site visits and project meetings, ensuring deadlines, quality standards and compliance are met\n\nEnsure Health & Safety requirements are in place and consistently followed\n\nManage change orders, secure transparency in all project finances, and keep the project budget within approved forecasts\n\nEnsure invoices reflect contractual terms and that landlord contributions are followed up\n\nDocumentation, Handover & Collaboration\nEnsure project timelines are accurately updated in LIMA (Planon) to support internal planning and future benchmarking\n\nSecure complete documentation before, during and after the project, stored according to global guidelines\n\nChallenge change orders proactively and ensure financial transparency for all projects\n\nFollow up on payment of landlord contributions to ensure timely reimbursement\n\nEnsure a structured and qualitative handover to Facility Management\n\nProactively share relevant information with other departments in a timely and structured way\n\nCollaborate regularly with cross-functional teams, both giving and requesting feedback to identify improvement opportunities\n\n Who You Are:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or similar\n\nProject Management certifications are meriting\n\nSupplier and contract management\n\nGood understanding of the field of construction and the ability to identify risks and opportunities in a retail environment\n\nKnowledge in MS Office\n\nAdvanced English level\n\nPrevious work experience from retail construction, facility management and/or real estate\n\nExperience within the project management field\n\nExperience from managing external suppliers and follow-up on contractual obligations\n\nExperience from working in a role with several stakeholders\n\nWork experience in large international organization is meriting\n\nYou are communicative and supportive, with a consultative and creative mindset.
