You'll play a key role in driving AI-enabled colleague experiences and evolving how engineering teams build software in an AI-first world.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\nLead the development of new products and AI-enabled experiences that make daily work simpler for store colleagues and give them more time to focus on customers. \nChange how teams build software by putting AI-assisted and agentic engineering practices into real use, learning from the results and establishing what good looks like. \nPartner closely with Product Managers, designers and stakeholders to shape product direction and outcomes, ensuring that technology creates real value for store colleagues and customers. \nRaise the engineering bar across architecture, security, observability and operational ownership, helping teams build products they can reliably own and evolve. \nHelp teams make pragmatic technology decisions across modern product architecture, data, integrations and build-versus-buy choices. \nBuild and develop a high-performing engineering team, growing capability through coaching, hiring and clear expectations. \nWHO YOU WILL WORK WITH\nYou will join the Retail Staff Tools area, where we build digital products used by 100,000 store colleagues across H&M Group. Our mission is simple: make daily work simpler, smarter and more effective, freeing up more time for colleagues to serve customers. You will initially work across colleague-facing products and Workforce Management, with the opportunity to shape emerging AI-enabled experiences and future Staff Tools capabilities. We are looking for someone who enjoys building products, shaping engineering and turning ideas into real-world impact.\nWHO YOU ARE\nYou have a hands-on software engineering background and have stayed close to modern engineering practices. \nYou have previous experience as an Engineering Manager with delivery and people responsibility. \nYou understand the importance of architecture, security, observability and operational ownership, and know how they contribute to building reliable, scalable and maintainable products. \nYou have experience building and evolving digital products and platforms in modern product organizations. \nYou are comfortable leading through change, turning ideas into working solutions and helping teams succeed in areas that do not yet have a well-defined blueprint. \nYou have practical experience using AI-assisted software development and a clear view of how engineering teams need to evolve. \nYou have practical experience building and bringing AI-enabled products or capabilities into real-world use. \nNice to have:\nExperience with modern data platforms, data products or lakehouse architectures. \nExperience with SaaS platforms, integrations and build-versus-buy decisions. \nExperience building colleague-facing, consumer-facing, mobile or frontend products \nExperience leading distributed engineering teams. \nRetail, Workforce Management or store operations experience. \nHow you lead:\nA builder who enjoys turning ideas into products and capabilities that make a real difference for colleagues. \nPassionate about developing people and creating teams that become stronger over time. \nCurious, pragmatic and focused on outcomes, preferring to learn from real-world use rather than perfect plans and blueprints \nWHO WE ARE\nH&M Group is a global company of strong fashion brands and ventures.
