You'll help us make complex technology simple, scalable, and accessible, enabling development teams across H&M Group to move faster and deliver better experiences.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nAs a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be part of a team responsible for building and evolving the platforms, services, and automation that support H&M Group's global physical technology landscape.\nYou will:\nDesign, develop, and maintain software solutions that simplify and automate infrastructure delivery and operations.\n\nBuild integrations between physical edge infrastructure environments and centralized backend services.\n\nImprove developer experiences through self-service capabilities, automation, and modern engineering practices.\n\nContribute to platform capabilities that support stores, warehouses, offices, and edge computing solutions at scale.\n\nDevelop solutions for monitoring, observability, and operational excellence.\n\nCollaborate closely with architects, engineers, delivery managers, and technology teams across H&M Group.\n\nLeverage AI-powered development tools while ensuring high-quality, secure, and maintainable software solutions.\n\nDrive engineering best practices and mentor colleagues through your technical expertise.\n\nWHO YOU ARE\nWe believe you're a curious and collaborative engineer who enjoys solving complex challenges and turning ideas into scalable solutions.\nYou likely have:\nSeveral years of experience working as a Software Engineer in complex technology environments.\n\nExperience working with observability and monitoring technologies, ideally including OpenTelemetry.\n\nStrong programming experience, preferably in Python or similar modern languages.\n\nHands-on experience with container technologies such as Docker.\n\nExperience with CI/CD and modern development workflows, including GitHub and GitHub Actions.\n\nKnowledge of automation, infrastructure-as-code, and platform engineering principles.\n\nExperience integrating systems, platforms, and APIs across different technology domains.\n\nAn understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, or technologies such as Kafka.\n\nExperience working with cloud hyperscaler platforms.\n\nA passion for continuous learning and exploring emerging technologies, including AI-assisted software development.\n\nWhat makes this role exciting\nThis is not a traditional software engineering role.\nYou'll be working in a space where software meets the physical world.
