There really couldn’t be a better time to join HMRC for your new contract opportunity!\nSoftware Engineering Learning Facilitator\nWe are seeking an experienced and engaging Software Engineering Learning Facilitator to deliver high-quality learning and development programmes for groups of 10 to 20 aspiring and early-career software engineers.\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating technical learning, supporting practical skill development, coaching learners through structured capability programmes, and helping participants apply learning within real software delivery environments.\nThis role combines technical software engineering expertise with excellent training, coaching and facilitation skills. The facilitator will create an inclusive learning environment that builds learner confidence, capability and readiness for software engineering roles.\nKey Responsibilities\nLearning Delivery\nDeliver instructor-led training sessions, workshops and bootcamps.\nFacilitate both virtual and face-to-face learning activities.\nDeliver learning across core software engineering topics including: Programming fundamentals\nSoftware development lifecycle\nVersion control (Git)\nTesting and quality practices\nSecure software development\nAgile delivery\nCI/CD concepts\nCloud and modern engineering practices\nAdapt delivery approaches to suit different learner needs and experience levels.\n\nLearning Design Support\nContribute to the creation and continuous improvement of learning materials.\nUpdate content to reflect industry trends and organisational technologies.\nWork with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and relevance.\nDevelop reusable exercises, case studies and technical challenges.\nAssessment and Feedback\nAssess learner progress against defined learning outcomes.\nReview practical exercises, projects and capability evidence.\nProvide constructive and actionable feedback.\nMaintain learner records and progress information.\nContribute to programme evaluation and continuous improvement activities.\nOur Values\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
