Our leading technologies and our ability to apply them safely and effectively create value for our customers and our shareholders.\nThe Machinist position requires skills developed through formal training or work experience, high attention to detail and safety. You will work within established procedures and guidelines with limited ability to modify approach and must complete assigned tasks with a moderate degree of supervision.\nCandidates will not only be interviewed but may be required to demonstrate key CNC operating skills and/or knowledge including how to use measuring equipment, set tools, work offsets, and read programs.\nJob Requirements\nPerform operations including turning, facing, boring, drilling, threading, grooving, and other lathe operations as required.\nExperience with small/large diameter or long-length work (steady rest/follow rest), and tight tolerances.\nMust be competent with G & M codes, feeds and speeds, to edit programs as needed.\nPerform work in compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality expectations while supporting a production schedule\nExecute daily priorities and duties as defined by the supervisor or area lead\nUse and maintain measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, height gauges, depth gauges, etc).\nConduct in-process and final inspection; document results and report nonconformities.\nInspect and ensure all dimensions are within print specifications and report any non-conformities\nThe employee must regularly lift, push, pull and/or move up to 30 lbs. and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to apply basic written and verbal communication skills in English.\nAbility to apply concepts of basic math and basic PC skills.\nAbility to read and comprehend instructions, work orders and part drawings.\nAbility to work independently and in a team environment.\nAbility to setup and run with little to no supervision.\nAbility to meet consistent attendance and punctuality.\nSafely operate shop equipment such as overhead crane/forklift where applicable (or ability to become certified by in-house training).\nMaintain a safe, clean and organized working environment.\nDemonstrate unwavering commitment to HMH Values, Compliance, Integrity and HSSE.\nQualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nDesired Characteristics\n2+ years of experience setting up, editing, and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality parts.\nAdvanced knowledge of cutting tools, processes, hand tools and measuring equipment\nExperience of other CNC machines (CNC mill, CNC live tooling)\nWorking knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)\nDemonstrated ability to read engineering drawings and specifications\nStrong oral and written communication skills\nStrong work ethic and adherence to processes and policies\nAdditional Information\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, now or in the future, without employer sponsorship for employment visa status\nNo relocation assistance\n6:00AM -
