HMH serves nearly 1,000 community members through a comprehensive program model that understands and incorporates the strengths of individual cultures and addresses the stigma related to mental illness. Services range from psychological services; personalized recovery-oriented services for individuals with mental illness; recovery programming for addiction in six languages and seven dialects; supportive housing for people with mental health issues; and training and internship opportunities for graduate students in social work, mental health counseling, and psychology. Our team of over 30 full-time and 16 part-time staff speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Fujianese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Toishanese, Taiwanese, Spanish, Khmer, and Cambodian. The Facilities Manager is responsible for the division’s facilities (main site, Queens office, and supportive housing) and reports directly to the Assistant Executive Director.\nResponsibilities:\nOversee all day-to-day facility operations for the division including supervision of full-time facility staff and security personnel \nLead the division’s health and safety protocols, including compliance with Covid-19 and other relevant public health guidance \nManage all facility projects, including vendor relations, at the division’s main site and the Queens satellite clinic and supportive housing site \nCoordinate work requests with building maintenance, executing projects, managing coverage schedule and other issues related to custodial activities \nMaintain record of all facility expenses and working closely with the agency’s administrative teams to ensure timely submission of requests for vendor payments \nPerform and assign fire safety drills and completing required actions to ensure all sites are compliant with licensing standards and government regulations \nConduct physical inventory of custodial equipment and supplies; order and distribute supplies; research new products and meet with vendors as appropriate. \nCoordinate various activities including moving furniture, setting up facilities for special events, and other activities as assigned \nCreate and implement department and agency policies, procedures, and workflows designed to improve behavioral health facility operations \nWork collaboratively with program leaders and clinical teams to implement solutions to barriers in care coordination and service delivery \nMaintain knowledge of regulatory and contractual guidelines to ensure program compliance \nPrepare the program for regular auditing from government funders and regulators \nRemain on-call for emergency situations as assigned \nMinimum Qualifications:\nAssociate Degree in relevant field or equivalent professional experience required\nCertificate of Fitness for Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems required (S-95 Certification) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of employment\nCertificate of Fitness for Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor required (F-07 Certification) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of employment\nMinimum of three years of progressively responsible custodial and/or grounds maintenance experience \nMinimum three years of supervisory or leadership experience \nProven ability to work with high-performing, cross functional teams\nDemonstrated experience in urban, underserved communities, particularly communities of color\nStrong organizational and time management skills; ability to maintain efficient administrative and operational systems\nResults-oriented and self-directed, with the ability to prioritize competing demands\nExcellent communication skills, including professional phone demeanor and direct engagement with clients, families, government agencies, and staff\nCultural proficiency and sensitivity in diverse environments\nCultural proficiency and sensitivity in diverse environments\nAbility to lift up to 50lbs.\nFlexibility with work hours and emergency response \nCompensation: $70,000- $72,000 per annum.
