Our leading technologies and our ability to apply them safely and effectively create value for our customers and our shareholders.\nThe Production Operator position requires skills developed through formal training or work experience, high attention to detail and accuracy with numbers. You will work within established procedures and guidelines with limited ability to modify approach and must complete assigned tasks with a moderate degree of supervision. Sets-up and operates special purpose equipment for rubber molding. Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces. Starts and observes press operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance molding and adjusts press controls as required.\nJob Responsibilities\nSets-up and operates special purpose equipment for rubber molding.\nReads and interprets blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces.\nStarts and observes press operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance molding and adjusts press controls as required.\nPerform work in compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality expectations.\nAbility to apply basic written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to apply concepts of basic math and basic PC skills. \nAbility to read and comprehend instructions, work orders and drawings.\nAbility to work independently and in a team environment.\nAbility to meet consistent attendance.\nAbility to work, focus and thrive in a very fast paced and noisy work environment.\nThe employee must regularly lift, push, pull and/or move up to 20 lbs and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\nThe employee must be able to safely operate a forklift while loading or unloading production parts.\nAbility to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.\nMaintain a safe, clean and organized working environment.\nDemonstrate unwavering commitment to HMH Values, Compliance, Integrity and HSSE.\nPerforms additional related duties as assigned\nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.1+ years related experience.\nDesired Characteristics\n2+ years related experience.\nCertified to operate a forklift.\nExperience with Oracle or SAP.\nAbility to read, write and communicate in the English language.\nHigh attention to detail, accuracy with numbers.\nAbility to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy and order.\nAble to work extended hours and weekends.\nKnowledge of rubber molded parts.\nDemonstrated willingness to complete all tasks to support production business objectives.\nAdditional Information\nThe physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Required to use personal protective equipment. Most working areas are covered and inside but are not air-conditioned.
