Our environment is based on respect and having a good day at work, so you can expect to join a knowledgeable, global team who help each other to succeed.\nThis position will support the Engineering Technical Services team by contributing to finite element analysis (FEA) using Ansys, applying data analysis to drive business process improvement, and exploring AI-enabled tools to enhance engineering workflows.\nThe Intern will be responsible for:\nSupport FEA activities using Ansys, including model setup, meshing, and definition of boundary conditions.\nAssist with material property assignments, solver execution, and evaluation of analysis results under the guidance of an engineer.\nAnalyze engineering and operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, quality issues, and opportunities for business process improvement.\nEvaluate and apply AI-enabled tools, with appropriate human review, to automate repetitive tasks, organize engineering knowledge, or support technical calculations.\nOther duties as assigned.\nThe Intern also will learn about the following:\nFEA principles and practical application using Ansys.\nTechniques for translating engineering and operational data into actionable process improvements.\nResponsible application of AI-enabled tools to support engineering workflows.\nSkills/Requirements\nMust be enrolled at the time the internship commences and working toward completion of a Bachelor's or Graduate degree from an accredited university or college, with Mechanical Engineering, Computational Engineering, or related engineering majors preferred.\nMinimum GPA of 3.0.\nGood interpersonal skills to drive collaboration across multiple functions to achieve desired results.\nAbility to work independently or within a larger team as required by the project and task.\nFamiliarity with Microsoft office products, i.e., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong verbal and written communication.\nStrong work ethic and attention to detail.\nPreferred: prior coursework, research, or project experience using Ansys or other FEA software.\nPreferred: experience with data analysis or visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Python, or MATLAB) and interest in applying AI-enabled tools to engineering problems.\nAdditional Information\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, now or in the future, without employer sponsorship for employment visa status.\nNo relocation assistance provided.\nInternship is 12 weeks, May 24 -
