The Supervisor will oversee maintaining and developing accounts payable procedures and processes. Along with performing a leadership role, this position will be responsible for a variety of accounts payable processes including, but not limited to, invoice and expense report processing.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nOversees, manages, coaches, and develops the accounts payable associates, including the offshore accounts payable team.\nSupports the management and maintenance of the Company's financial ERP (general ledger) system to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).\nParticipates in the evaluation, implementation, and testing of new financial information systems and system upgrades on existing financial information systems. \nResponsible for the accuracy and completeness of accounts payable related transactions entered into the ERP system.\nResolves inconsistencies, issues, and recommendations escalated from accounts payable associates and the offshore team. \nReviews and enters invoices and/or accounts payable adjustments in the ERP.\nReviews expense reports for corporate compliance and assists accounts payable associates and offshore team with questions.\nProcesses vendor and subconsultant payments and employee reimbursements.\nMonitors AP email for special requests, providing timely responses and solutions or escalating as appropriate.\nWorks closely with division, office, and operations staff related to accounts payable matters and transactions.\nSupervises weekly and monthly close procedures.\nReviews account payable related account reconciliations.\nResponsible for the completion and timely distribution of departmental key metrics and reporting.\nManages the enrollment of vendors and subconsultants to receive electronic payments.\nIdentifies and implements enhancements to the design and effectiveness of the department's internal control environment.\nIdentifies and implements opportunities within the department and across other functional areas to support process efficiency.\nPrepares other ad hoc reporting and special projects as assigned.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nWhat You’ll Need:\nAssociate's degree in Accounting or related field and 6 years of relevant experience, or\nIn lieu of education, 8 years of relevant experience.\n1 year supervisory experience\nWhat You'll Bring:\nProficient in all Microsoft Office applications.\nAble to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously.\nAbility to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels of the organization.\nAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.\nAbility to work independently and complete projects with little supervision.\nAbility to manage and develop team members.\nAdditional Information\nClick here for benefits information: HNTB Total Rewards\nClick here to learn more about Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran\nVisa sponsorship is not available for this position.#NF #FinanceAccounting #LI-NF.\nLocations:\nKansas City, MO.\n.\n.\n.\n.\n.\n.\n.\n.\n.\n.\n.\n.\n.\n.\n.\n.\n.\n.\n.\n.\n.\nNOTICE TO THIRD-PARTY AGENCIES:\nHNTB does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or agencies.
