This position performs research, development, calculations, design and delivery in partnership with the project team. Applies engineering techniques, procedures and design criteria for projects ranging in size and complexity. Leverages technical knowledge to assist in the execution and evaluation of project designs. Develops conceptual and detailed designs and calculations to support the project execution using current drawing and technical tools, programs and software. As a member of the team, you will contribute to the successful project delivery for a diverse range of projects for HNTB’s clients.\nYou will work on mechanical engineering-related tasks including research, development, calculations, design and delivery with minimal direction.\nRequired skills:\n- Independently identifies and analyzing mechanical design issues, including: alternatives analysis and life cycle analysis\n- Capable of representing the team to our clients\n- Coordinates preparation of design details, plans, and drawings within HVAC, plumbing and fire life safety systems\n- Conducts load analysis and duct design for HVAC systems including code\n- Performs calculations and hydraulic analyses related to fluid flow within piping systems\n- Prepares process and instrumentation diagrams for control systems including control sequence of operations for pumping and ventilation systems\n- Perform design reviews and quality assurance/control\n- Knowledgeable in REVIT and AutoCAD\nWhat You'll Do:\nCompletes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.\nSupports the preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.\nAssists in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.\nAssists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.\nSupports engineering teams with various tasks and duties including but not limited to research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects.\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nWhat You'll Need:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering\nWhat You'll Bring:\nExhibits an understanding of engineering principles relevant to the discipline.\nAttains knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCad or other software.\nWhat We Prefer:\nMaster's degree in Engineering\nEngineer in Training (EIT) certification\nAdditional Information\nClick here for benefits information: HNTB Total Rewards\nClick here to learn more about Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran\nVisa sponsorship is not available for this position.#RN.\nLocations:\nOakland, CA, San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA.\n.\nThe approximate pay range for the California San Francisco Bay Area is $83,008.49 - $124,512.74.
