The Project Analyst acts as the primary financial advisor throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring success in areas such as contracting, compensation and payment terms, workplan/project management system alignment, budgets, cost controls, revenue recognition, and cash and invoice management.\nWhat You'll Do:\nEngages and supports all financial aspects across the entire project lifecycle.\nModels and analyzes gross margin scenarios from initial engagement through final negotiations, offering revenue and cash performance recommendations and enhancement strategies.\nEnsures the accuracy of the PM system by overseeing changes to budget, commitments, forecasts, and expenditures, aligning work plans with client/contract requirements.\nReviews and ensures timely and accurate invoice approval and payment applications according to client terms and requirements, including subcontracting needs. Collaborates with the project manager and cash management team to proactively resolve billing and revenue discrepancies.\nGenerates and evaluates standard and ad hoc reports under guidance to identify and track potential cost issues and overruns. Investigates budget anomalies and escalates concerns to discuss actions.\nForecasts and monitors project estimate-at-completion (EAC) by recording potential and actual changes to cost accounts, including change orders, trends, and deviations.\nSupports and may facilitate an efficient earnings review process with the project team, using GAAP and revenue recognition concepts to analyze project finance performance. Performs project revenue adjustments with general supervision.\nEscalates project performance that impacts office results to the finance supervisor in a timely manner.\nDevelops client and subconsultant relationships, ensuring effective client service and efficient subconsultant management.\nWorks with and utilizes PFAs for routine transactional support.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nWhat You'll Need:\nBachelor’s degree, or\nIn lieu of education, 4 years of financial, project accounting/analysis, or related work experience.\nWhat You'll Bring:\nAbility to manage ownership of the project finance responsibilities for smaller, low-risk projects or assist in larger projects.\nAbility to read and comprehend basic contract requirements.\nEmerging understanding of project finance/accounting processes.\nDeveloping data analysis skills, able to accurately store, interpret, and present data using tools such as Excel, enterprise reporting systems, or project management systems.\nDeveloping conceptual and analytical skills, interpreting and taking/driving action on data.\nDeveloping organizational skills and the ability to multitask.\nWhat We Prefer:\nDegree in relevant Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or related field\nKnowledge of project financial management/cost controls\nKnowledge of accounting/financial principles and practices\nKnowledge of A/E industry\nAdditional Information\nClick here for benefits information: HNTB Total Rewards\nClick here to learn more about Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran\nVisa sponsorship is not available for this position.#DG #FinanceAccounting #LI-DG1.\nLocations:\nDenver, CO.\n.\n.\n.\n.\nThe approximate pay range for Colorado is $65,297.81 - $97,946.72.
