These projects can range from small intersection and multimodal corridor improvement projects to large interchanges, multimodal improvements, low impact bridge construction projects and feasibility projects. This opportunity entails being responsible for the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications related to roadway projects. You will apply engineering techniques, procedures, design software, and design criteria to develop both conceptual and detailed roadway designs for projects ranging in size and complexity. Mentor, train and review work of junior engineer staff and provide constructive feedback. As a member of the team, you will contribute to the successful project delivery for a diverse range of projects for HNTB’s clients.\nWhat You'll Do:\nResponsible for the planning and distribution of discipline-specific work, and adherence to the schedule and budget on projects.\nAssists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.\nAssists with the development of scope of work and level of effort for projects and/or assignments within discipline.\nOversees completeness and accuracy of project team’s work within the technical discipline. Guides and mentors team to overall project objectives.\nCoordinates technical aspects of project with client counterpart and teaming partners at staff level for work within the discipline.\nWorks closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nWhat You'll Need:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience, or\nMaster’s degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience, or\nPhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience\nWhat You'll Bring:\nProficiency in applying engineering, geometric and algebraic principles in your work.\nDisplays proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, Geopak, InRoads, OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCad or other software as required for job assignments.\nAttention to quality in design and production of deliverables.
