Assists the project management team in outlining objectives, requirements and design approaches. Responsible for gathering engineering or operational data from a variety of sources.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nResponsible for verifying the accuracy of drawings, compatibility of work across disciplines and for checking detail and quantity calculations. Calculates design data, prepares layouts, detailed specifications, estimates, reports, etc.\nAssists in preparing engineering studies and evaluations involved in the development of projects from initial concept to the design stage, with the assistance from the project engineer/architect.\nAttends project and pre-construction meetings and provides input to ensure proper policies, procedures, and specifications are followed.\nResponsible for resolving technical design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, detailed design work and data.\nPerforms general administrative assistance by maintaining complex project plans. May develop documentation, prepare project management report and monitors accomplishments as related to targeted goals.\nMakes recommendations regarding process improvement for project delivery at the office level.\nCalculates quantities and performs engineering related computations.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nWhat You’ll Need:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related field and 6 years of relevant experience, or\nAssociate of Science in Drafting or Technical School or related and 8 years of relevant experience, or\nIn lieu education, 10 years of relevant experience\nWhat You'll Bring:\nAbility to work effectively and participate in working relationships with clients and sub-contractors.\nProficient in CADD design software such as GIS, 3D, Highway or Railroad design, Building design and Graphic Imaging.\nProficient in the terminology and symbols used in survey notes, plans, shop drawings, aerial photographs, and maps related to a specific Engineering sub-type.\nWhat We Prefer:\nExperience with MicroStation Connect and Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) in roadway design and plan production.\nExperience working with terrain models, alignments, profiles, and corridor files.\nexperience with sheet creation, drawing production, and annotation groups within OpenRoads.\nExperience preparing plan, profile, cross section, signing/striping, and traffic control sheets.\nUnderstanding of roadway construction plans, quantities, and engineering documentation.\nExperience utilizing ProjectWise for document management and project delivery.\nAbility to work within established CAD standards and quality control procedures.\nExperience supporting roadway drainage, utility coordination, and corridor modeling efforts.\nAssociate's degree in Drafting Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience preferred.\nAdditional Information\nClick here for benefits information: HNTB Total Rewards\nClick here to learn more about Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran\nVisa sponsorship is not available for this position.#JEK #Highways #LI-JK1.\nLocations:\nDenver, CO, Las Vegas, NV (Via Austi Parkway), Salt Lake City, UT.\n.\n.\n.\n.\nThe approximate pay range for Colorado is $91,710.82 - $143,445.15.
